?, why not Pump Co2 Directly into the Rez instead of the air?

I have seen lotza Auquarium setups with fancy plants that just go ape getting the Co2 pumped into the Water,
they even give better results then having it injected into the air around them,
Why does nobody use it for MJ?
does anyone do it this way?
I'm gonna try i think...
Read this Post about it and tell me what you think.. http://www.thekrib.com/Plants/CO2/co2-narten.html :bigjoint:

No, you need oxygen below the soil line for your roots DON'T use Co2 as this replaces the oxygen in the water and will kill your plants! just let your air pump do it's work.. good thought though but plants DO need oxygen.

EDIT: Here's for more reading on it to give you some idea of the importance of oxygen. You can also try google "oxygen on roots" and you will pull these up on the first page.

Oh.... gonna look into that i is....
But i will still have an air pump/stone seperate from the Co2 under natural production and release...
will that matter?
Not to mention, it'll be used in and Aero system... if that matters?

Oh ya.. you're fine having c02 in your room.. cause you'll also still have oxygen.. that's no problem the oxygen is what the plants need, but I would try and keep a little room from that co2 bottle and the air pump if you can.. but no, adding co2 to the air can benefit your plants from any of the reading I've done.. I personally don't use it right now, so I'm not much help on that sorry.

There's co2 all around us all the time, so keeping the pump in the same area is fine.. I just didn't want you to like hook up a co2 tank to your air stones or something like that.

EDIT: sorry I didn't read your post correctly the first time.. ya, I wouldn't hook up anything that directly pumps co2 into your res.

lol.. yup.. the h2o2 does that, not co2. I had to re-read it a few times to make sure I didn't miss something there. Hydrogen peroxide is used in a res to super oxygenate the water.
