Why so much vegging!?

Well, its Aug 5th, since I last posted about this Aug 1st/2nd my plants have been vegging like CRAZY! They must of shot up 3 1/2 inches. Are they prepping for budding or should they already be budding? Each new growth spot has pistols so I know their still females lol. I'm worried because I have one reaching over 6 1/2 feet tall.

Same thing here...I'm hoping they go a little longer before they start budding. I predict full flower to kick in this coming week for my bubblelicious in SoCal. They are starting to get the tight growth structure.

I hope I see buds soon. We have 14h 12m 30s left in the day today, losing 2 min each day. I'm in ohio. These damn pistols are teasing me lol.

They will bud naturally, but depending where you live, you might want them done faster before the frost comes.

So you would cover your girls for 12/12 so they flower faster.

If you do not have to worry about frost, let them flower naturally.

Covering them! Good idea.

#1) How would you go about covering say a 5' plant? What i mean is would you use say a big trash bag or something? wouldnt that be bad for the plant?

#2) Would it be a very bad idea to cover them for longer, like say 2 days? I'm leaving in a couple hours to go on a 2 night camping trip and wont be back til about later afternoon on Sunday.

#3) when the cover comes off would it just go back to veg? Total noobie and this is my first grow so ide have no idea personally.

p.s. I live in New England so my time is running short on getting a full budding cycle (first frost is early/mid Oct) so any answers would be MOST appreciated.

I would think you'd have to consistently cover them until the days are suitable, otherwise it will try to revert therefore causing stress.

Hey. Mine are looking nice although this is my first outdoor. Indoor the flip is much faster. So there is not much crystal content at the moment, a normal occurence? When do you start seeing that on all these pistils that I'm seeing right now outdoors.

Nor cal grow.
