Why stop at topping after two times?

Just wondering? I've heard it told that you should only top a plant twice? What if you supercrop AND top? Can't you pretty much just top all you want and get 20 tops or more?

Example; Let's say I start out topping twice. That means I have 4 tops. Then, I start supercropping, and get an additional 8 tops. Why can't I top all those and get 16. Then, even 32 tops from that?

You can top indefinately, it will however result in thinner and thinner stem structures though. It will also add more and more grow time.

you havegot to have a massive root system to support all those colas,
usually five to seven gallons of root area will support 6 to 8 large colas

If topped properly at a young age, you usually only have 4 main branches. Topping too many times will result in branches that can not support their own weight....Imagine antlers, that's what your plant will look like when it gets close to the end of flowering you will have to stake up all of the branches. You can do it, but I would only suggest it for outside. You also slow down the growth rate every time you top it.

whoever you heard that from is wrong, you can top as many times as you want and anywhere on the plant that has a growth tip can be topped. if you have a fan on the plants and tie the new tops down w/lst it will not be too weak to suppport itself at all. in fact, i recommend you dont just normal top, fim top the plants.who doesnt love having a big dense canopy of top colas that fill the whole area so no light is wasted and you can keep the lights at an even distance from the top of each cola? check out some scrog guides if thats something you might be interested in.....

Didn't hear from anyone, just experience. I have a Kushberry plant right now that would strongly disagree with you on topping. Especially considering it can't hold itself upright. :leaf:
