the bud will lose some flavor and taste at first but after a good cure it should come back alot of times it even smells better. it is not a good idea to put wet weed in a jar. you run a high risk of mold.

If you miss one day with moist herb, you may come back to mold like above mentioned. I'd open the jars a least once every 12 hours for an hour due to them not drying first. You haven't messed up, you just need to air the shit out of it or it will take longer to be able to smoke.

One thing - If you vaporize, it go for some now - you just have to vap it once to dry it out a little then run it through again.

Do NOT jar it until it is properly dry or you WILL lose the smell and flavour. If you jar too early then you will have to cure for ages to get any smell back.

If you jar it when the stems are just snapping (the bud will feel very dry, do not worry) then the smell and flavour will return very quickly.

You have been warned!

Well your experience may be different than mine, but proper air drying will get the buds 90% of the way there, with great smell.

Dry the whole untrimmed plant and see the difference. Believe me, my buds done this way are really smelly and good.

yesterday I just chopped down a plant and have the whole thing hanging in the basement. fan leaves and all. my plan is to trim back as and when the parts dry out over a week or two. then continue to dry the buds on the plant still till they are dry to the touch, and then the plan is to remove and trim the sugar leaf off the buds and right into jars. once in the jar I will check on them daily for about a week and then less frequently to make sure they are free of any mold.
