Why wont my seeds sprout?

This is my 3rd grow(1st indoors) and my seeds were planted 7 days ago.... Ive never had it take so long to sprout.... any thoughts?

i am using 3 150w 6500k cfl's and 3 2700k cfl's

if you didn't germinate them it may take that long. Also, you may have planted them a little deep. I've had seeds take 5 days to pop when germinating, and another 2 to come up once I planted them .

I was thinking the same thing.... i planted them about 1.5-1 inch deep... i dont want to touch it b/c i dont want to shock it...

is there anything i can do?

Sometimes the shells are too hard for the plant to open by itself. After 10-14 days I usually crack the seeds open by hand (being very careful) and then take the little sprout out and plant it rockwool. I have "saved" quite a few seeds like this, most recently I had 6 Chronic seeds of which only 1 sprouted without help, 2 I left longer to see if they would come up but they never did, 3 I opened by hand and they are all growing strong.

^ same here.

1"- 1.5" is too deep IMO, plant them just below the soil, like 3/16 of an inch or so..

get a ziploc bag, place seeds in wet paper towel(not too wet) and throw it in there then blow your breath into the bag, seal it and put it in the dark for 4-5 days.

Thanks for the help guys.... ill try to take some of the soil off.... do you think they will still sprout, or are they suffocating?
