Heres what you need for renewal..

[h=2]Renew In Person[/h]Drivers with expired licenses (see above), non-citizens* and drivers older than 80** must apply in person at any driver license office. Be prepared to pay the $48 license fee.
When you arrive at the DMV, be sure to have:

  • Proof of identification: A certified birth certificate; a valid passport; a consular Report of Birth Abroad; a certificate of Naturalization; or a certificate of Citizenship.

  • Proof of Social Security number: Social Security card; W-2 form; paycheck or any 1099 form.

  • Proof of residential address: Two items containing your address, such as a mortgage statement, utility bill, voter identification card or a car insurance policy.

yep and you don't even need your BC a ss# will work just fine for getting a new one.

Not in Joja, this new deal started July 1st and we have to do this in person. I had to wait 3 hrs in podunk, I heard Atlanta lines are outside and taking up to 8 hrs.

wow..Damn renewal would be a pain..are the lines long ???

And they say that Repubs aren't trying to limit voters. I can imagine a whole lot of people who can't or simply don't see the effort deciding not to get their ID and not vote at all.

I am very poor,i live on $1050 a month and i got a id.

good for you! you figure everyone does because you do? or are we now in the business of testing the poor to see if they really really really want to join in the democratic process?

More excuses for something so simple.
Keep coming up with some more excuses.

The same thing again - we are not supposed to test people to see if they want to vote. puting barriers up in their way is not the American way nor should it be condoned. Someone here is describing long lines in order to renew or get an ID.

So, possibly endanger national security in order to get a tit for tat political advantage - wonderful.

Can't agree here. The fast&furious thing is dirty, and disclosure/transparency should be ours by right. Unless i'm missing something, but "unspecified and nonestablished national security risk" smacks too much of generic dodge. And i don't mean Aries or Caravan, ~grin~. cn

The pussy would be you.....

Namecalling so early in the discussion - pity.

And no, I have voted in every local and state and national election for many years and my state does not require voter ID. They ask me my name - they check the roll, if my name is there I sign under my name and I go vote. If there were a name already under my real name I would know that someone committed voter fraud but that could happen no more than once. No ID required.

It was a suppostion and nothing more, I am sure that they have reasons for what they do. I don't know what they are or if they are what i could consider valid. It seems to me that gross neglegence on Holder's part is still less damning than withhold.
