Good luck everybody...I hope you're/they're wrong about an 11 foot wall of water, my aunt and uncle are really trying to ride it out a block from the sand.
They're showing white capped waves on the Hudson River. The storm is still 300 miles out to sea.

edit: You really should call and talk them into seeking a shelter while they still have time. This is not a storm to fuck around with.

OK, I couldn't help this one:

On a more serious note, whomever said they had relatives on the beach...here's the forecast for Newark, NJ.

THE EXACT TRACK/TIMING OF THE STORM WILL DETERMINE THE MAGNITUDEOF COASTAL FLOODING TONIGHT...BUT DUE TO COMBINED STORM TIDE ANDBREAKING WAVES THERE IS HIGH CONFIDENCE FOR A MAJOR TO LOCALLYRECORD BREAKING COASTAL FLOODING EVENT WITH LIFE THREATENINGINUNDATION...AS WELL AS DAMAGE TO STRUCTURES IN HISTORICALLY FLOODPRONE SPOTS.

Getting pretty windy here in NEPA and they said we shouldn't start getting increased wind or even rain (and its kind of drizzling..) until about 2pm, increasing in strength until Tuesday evening which tells me it's gonna get pretty intense. Good lucky everyone

Yeah there's still some damage from last year, I'm watching the trees outside my window bow at the moment. When it gets bat shit I'm going to see how long I stand in the wind and smoke. Hey maybe then I can write in the "strangest places you've smoked" thread and say in a hurricane, might be on par with the guy who watched a tornado from the roof. :)

The worst part of the storm is starting to come ashore. Everyone please be careful. There are reports of two feet of water flooding some towns in Connecticut. The first severe band from the storm is just now hitting the coast.

You gonna cut your shit off, atleast do it with a real saw.

but seriously, most people have no business being anywhere near a chainsaw.

I just picked the first one that I could paste in my post. The only chainsaw we own is a Stihl saw. ;)
