Hey all,

I have two plants showing weird symptoms. Took the best pics i could.

Is this nute burn? Only like two or three out of the six are affected it seems

I gave them Water + TigerBloom + BigBloom (all at half doses) last week thursday (7/10), and than Water + open sesame on Sunday (7/13).

They are about 2 weeks into flowering.

Any ideas? And what to do?

here are the stats

What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?) clone
What is the age of your plants? 2 weeks into flowering
How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now? 2 weeks. transplanted into 3gallon FFOF
Were they in the same mixture when they were seedlings/smaller plant? If not, what mixture were they in before? probably not the same. not 100% what it was in before
How Tall are the plants? 16-20 inches
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? flower

How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? *Knowing the brand is very helpful* 50% doses every other watering
How often are you feeding? every other watering
If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients? 2nd watering of 12/12
What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect) no particular order
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used? do not know
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? checked this this morning, saw a pH of 4.9-5.1 in the run off
How often are you testing pH/ppm/EC/TDS? I test pH in the watering can every time pre/post nutes. Dont do anything else
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen? pH pen
How often are you watering? every other day to every 2-3 days
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding? last feeding was on 06/10 and i feed every other day

What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity) stays at 50% consistent, and hits 60% after a watering/neem spray
What is the canopy temperature? 77-80
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range) day average is 78-81. night is 72-74
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)hydrofarm 6in duct fan for intake @ 188CFM and a hydrofarm inline 4in exhaust fan @ 165CFM and a vertical fan blowing wind on the plants
Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ? exhaust runs then the lights are on. intake is on for 15min every hour
Is the fan blowing directly at plants? a vertical fan is
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist? id say moist
Is your water HARD or SOFT? do not know
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? tap
If using tap water, what is the ppm/EC/TDS of the water right out of the tap?(Only if you have a tds pen) no pen
If using RO,Distilled, mineral water, what is the ppm/EC/TDS without any additives?(Only if you have a tds pen)
Are you using water from a water softener? dont know
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched? mp
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? pyrethrum
Are plant's infected with pest's? were once hit with mites

Strange as it is to suggest, it looks like ozone generator damage. If you have an ozone generator, put it on a timer at about 1/4 that its at now. If you dont have one, your guess is good as mine since you've given us no information about ppm, ph, etc... So........

The pattern of spots, suggests to me that there is a nutritional deficiency rather than some type of toxicity.
I would not be surprised if your plants are deficient in one or more of the trace elements. I would suggest that you
go to foliar feeding for a while. It is the quickest and safest way to treat a sick plant. Some would say that nutrients
sprayed on the leaves during the flowering stage might result in a bad taste, later on. I have never experienced any
bad taste from foliar spraying but perhaps they have more sophisticated taste buds than I do.

Hey Research Kitty, i had a chance to fill it out this morning.

Thanks for all the help!

Sigh, my outdoor girls are doing so well. my indoors are sad :(

are you using tap water? tap water is floridated in most of the civilized US. not only that, instead of chlorinating the water, they are using chloramine. i have only seen this problem on my outdoor plants that get fed with the hose and only really once they get transplanted into their final resting place. prior to that as clones or pre-veg plants they are fed with a nutrient bath made with cleaned water.

just my thoughts...

Thanks for filling out my form. ;) Based on the answers you supplied, I think the deficiency is within your tap water or ppm. Tap water's ppm varies everywhere. As an example, in California it can be upwards of 400-600ppm. On the east coast in the mountains you can get it as low as 25-50ppm. Its a huge difference! My suggestion to fix the problem: You need a ppm meter to get the proper readings. Otherwise you never know if your burning your plants or not until its too late. A ppm meter is only $40-$50 for a cheapo one, and around $150 for a ppm/ph/temperature combo meter that monitors it continuously. Without a ppm meter, its basically being a marathon runner thats barefoot. Your feet feel fine at first but then start to show signs of hurting the more you run. Everything else in your growing environment and practice appears perfectly fine, except not having the correct instrument to measure ppm. Hope this helps! Your problem is easy to reverse, its certainly not too late to get it fixed before it harms your results.

Someone here suggested a foliar spray -- Under all circumstances do NOT heed that persons advice. They didnt read where you're already in the 2nd week of flowering, and spraying water on the plants will increase your chances of destroying the nugs, burning the nugs/leaves by the lights heating the water you spray, and increases your chance for mold tenfold. Foliar spray is for vegitative growth and the first week of flowering at a max.

thanks kitty.

going to pick up a PPM meter when i can this week. Any idea what i should be shooting for PRE/POST nute adding? Also picked up a bottle of AN Revive, but will not start using it until i see run off water at around 6.5
