will a 125W cfl bulb work in hps system

I got a 125W cfl bulb that i was looking to use for veg instead of my 150W hps, will it work you think?

yes, specially if it is in 6500K

I would use that fist few weeks then add the HPS and use both in flowering

now I think about it, I hope you don't mean to use the HPS ballast to run the CFL ? that wont work use a normal E27 or E40 fitting

here is mine



30W CFLs use normal E27 fittings I guess a bigger CLF use E40 make sure the CFL is "self ballast"

You can't just screw it into the HPS fixture can you ????
