Will a 150w Cfl Be Ok In a 1 Mtr Parabolic Reflector ?

Hi folks i use parabolic reflectors, i have an unused blue 150w cfl i,m wondering if it would be ok to keep a 12" high mother plant nice an healthy. Also are parabolic popular in the usa ? thanks guys TCD

Is it a 150 watt equivalent? meaning its a 42 watt cfl or is it actually a huge 150w cfl? If its just the 42 watt equivalent go to walmart and pick up a few more and your set. If it is a massive 150w then yes of course that would be plenty for your mother plant

Trichomedome: depending on the K rating of the lamp I would think it should be. I use 5,000K to 6,000K lamps to veg, (depending on what's available at the time), and then I switch to 2700K for flowering until harvest and it works for me. You can usually find the K rating on the package or on the lamp base. I hope that helps. HSA

You can actually keep a mother plant just fine with a warmer colored k like 2700.

TriChomeDome I,m trichomes in the head :weed: ??? Trichomes are the chrystals on the bud. hope this answers your question oh yes the kelvin ? i think 56K it,s the veg one ? i,ve foolishly been underestimating them i did not know peeps flower with them, HSA what sort of yield do you get with them. regards TCD

Sorry budy lol yes it,s a 65k cool white ? it,s a masive diameter aprox 50% bigger for only 12/14% more output, it,s so large it does not fit into a normal reflector lol TCD

lol i bet it doesnt fit! My 105w cfl's are pretty massive already
It will take some bulb not to fit into a para :grin: GRAPESnowcone it does not state the lumen output of the bulb ? thanks TCD

The best £ for £ reflector on the market imo Regards TCD
