Is it? Doesn't sound like you have any plants.

You know this stuff stinks, so you must act accordingly.

Use your can fan with a carbon filter to exhaust air outside. This will pull a negative pressure on the grow area. Your home won't bc stink. Be sure to go big on the carbon filter or when odor peaks in flower your exhaust will start to smell. Inline ozone generators installed after the fan are able to kill remaining odor if duct length is at least 15' post ozone gen. In some cases you might need a mixer in the duct like a u bend.

no air is going outside in this room. i think it may be better that way id rather have it in my room /basement than outside. i dont need air filter advise im wondering of the facts about a basement vs and upstairs room all things equal, question is basically does raw smell sink or rise?

Well grow rooms in general are warmer than normal so I'd expect the stinky air to be warm and hence rise. Probably be as bad or worse than a ground floor grow.
You'd be better off using a carbon filter and venting outside or at least out of the room so you have negative pressure in the grow area.

You could vent into the cavity under the ground floor or maybe into a sewer line?

You are having hard time fitting your noob thinking into our experienced reality. :) YOU want us to answer the irrelevant and somehow get you out of the problem.

Does it sink or rise? Like sewer gas? Nice if it had a tinge of orange color, right, so we can follow the trail of color odor?

Wrong. The smell PERMEATES. OK? It goes everywhere. Rip-offs can smell an outdoor garden for 100s of meters all around. Keeping it in the room is not possible without carbon. We all use carbon and you will to. It is why we CAN grow indoors.

You need fresh cool, CO2 filled air, pulled into the room. So, you have to exhaust hot, stinky air, out of the room. It is as simple as that.

It is risk and reward, brother. I can't stand the risk, and neither can you. Get a carbon filter, you need it. Hope it helps.

when you start cutting down (if you get that far) even with a carbon filter your gonna get some stink so invest and you will be rewarded

Yeah....don't wear rubber gloves either. :) Contact high.

I am really waiting to the point were I grow enough buds to try some hand rolled hash. A truly stinky experience, I bet.

I grow in my basement. Last grow I had two plants (no odor control save for a small jug of Ona). You could smell them upstairs. For about two months. There's no mistaking that smell, I don't care what kind of strains you have. Before I started this time, I got a fan/filter combo. Cost me less than my 600w light and just as vital, IMO. Even though Ican get by without it, I feel much better with it.

When it doesn't smell, I was doing something wrong and they are not really growing. My recent attempt to go to more watering, I remember the smell was reduced and then gone. Now it is back, and could fill the house if I left the door open and lost negative pressure. I only just started bloom, but the green smell begins at maybe 6 weeks. The flower smell is much stronger, and UN-mistakeble, than veg, of course. :)

If you have so many years experience as a grower, why ask such a dumb question and then attack people who answer? Is it school holidays again so soon?

no u need to read more carefully yes i am asking about specific details of smell. ive used carbon filters for years and i will knock ur dick in the dirt. u sound trollish i hope to never hear from u again
the smell usually comes from your dirty ass mouth so maybe a carbon filter down your throat might help

I only grow tomatoes and chilly peppers but what I can tell you from experience is...when I`m sitting down and I fart with my legs open I can taste and smell it. When I fart with my legs closed my sofa acts as a carbon filter or a slow release fertilizer dissipating the taste and smell to an almost negligible level.

Well guys, fight boy is gone. And the typical homophobia, dick talk, had to happen first.

You see he used Carbon for years, but, now just wanted an argument. What is up with these marginal personalities?

Why do they ask if they only want an ego stroke for an answer? Or, when they already know it is wrong, to think about No Odor Control, and are just looking for crazy support?

Or, it is a toll, that got super bored?

And I will admit, my style at times is designed to uncover all that. Best to know, soonest, I say.

Or maybe the upper lip. :)
I remember, there was this thing that was going around at work for a while, a few years ago. "Are you high?!." "What are YOU smoking!!??." You know? Trying to give Cannabis a bad name?

So, my answer, no matter who said that to who, I would chime in immediately with, "it must be your upper lip you smell." :)

And they invented a cool phrase for it. I really put the Kaibosch on those stupid comments.
