Much easier and cheaper solution is buying elostomeric paint rated at 90% reflectivity. You can go to the local hardware store and find it or probably even walmart. It is normally used for roofing.

If you don't have anything to put this on... you could use cardboard...

Together it makes for a very inexpensive VERY efficient combination. Good luck.

ps: Few friends of mine have tried mylar emergency blankets and they don't hold a candle to elastomeric paint. Emergency blankets are very wrinkly when unspread which makes for an uneven distribution of light not to mention less reflection efficiency

emergency blankets made from mylar are SHITTY...although they can reflect 90% of heat they are only efficient in reflecting about 70% of light because they are so thin. Also you will get a very uneven distribution of light that is spotty as a result.

As I told the original poster DO NOT USE MYLAR EMERGENCY BLANKETS. Elastomeric paint costs you $10-20 a bucket and it is the about 3rd most reflective surface you will get besides heavy grade mylar and german aluminum stuff.
