Will a greenhouse help with bud rot???

I had a pretty good outdoor grow but I had a LOT of bad spots throughout my grow. Currently, I have just been growing in the open and my plants have been rained on several times. Also, I noticed that dew on the ground wouldn't be on my covered porch. So, if I covered my plants, should I expect to keep the dew off of them too? I was under the impression that I could grow indoor grade bud in a greenhouse, is that true?

You can grow good bud in a greenhouse, but greenhouse is greenhouse, indoor is indoor. With that said, quality is in the genetics. The only off putting thing About outdoor and some cases greenhouse is the trim job, I’ve had some FIRE outdoor before....

But to answer your question, if you don’t have some sort of fan in the greenhouse, you are better off staying outside.

You can definitely grow some grade A cannabis in a nice greenhouse. Especially if you invest in some good environmental controls a like a dehumidifier. Even just putting some sort of cover over your plants is a big improvement and reduces chances budrot.
The better light dep/greenhouse stuff from guys that know what they are doing can easily look as good or better than indoor.

Try a mold resistant strain (off hand I know Malawi Gold is known to be resistant) and treat the plant with bio-fungicides (like Southern Ag bio-fungicide or Serenade) and chitosan regularly, makes a world of difference.

The best weed I’ve ever grown was Light Dep inside my greenhouse. I got three amazing harvests! But genetics does play a huge part!

Yes, a greenhouse will help avoid conditions that lead to bud rot. It can because you lower the amount of pest exposure and excess water (rain, snow and God forbid hail) to your buds. Beyond the benefits of not being attacked by as many bugs or being assaulted by precipitation, there's less contamination from the spores that cause bud rot because there's a physical barrier there to block them.
There's a caveat to this though. And that is the need to move a lot of air (both circulating inside and exchanging it with fresh outside air) or you could be facing even more issues.
Having a roof above you plants definitely helps, as long as you keep paying attention to what you and your plants are doing together. And yes, you can grow stuff that is just as good as indoor. Inside of a greenhouse or hoop house the temps, water, wind, pests and humidity (to an extent) can be, controlled. And that is where a majority of the differences come into play between indoor and outdoor. You can even control the light inside of a greenhouse (light dep plastic and supplemental lighting). And when comparing the green/hoop house to indoor there are two other benefits to the hoop house- more space and (unless supplemental lighting is used) free lighting.
I love mine! And I have had great luck so far this year at avoiding bud rot. Just keep paying close attention and you can do amazing things inside of a greenhouse or hoop house.

If your buds are getting drenched in water multiple times during mid to late flower you will get bud rot. if you put them in a greenhouse with a dehu and some wel placed directional fans and keep your leaves decently spaced and the bottom cleaned up with good airflow. you definitely can lower your chance for botrytis. Depending on where you live the cold can cause problems and slow growth and the sun isn’t optimal growth so you won’t get the yield of a summer solstice run but it brings out beautiful colors
