Will adding a 125w red CFL make much difference?

Okay, so this is my current setup:
- 1x 125w blue CFL
- 3x 15w red CFL

It is only in a small cupboard which I used to grow two autoflowers at a time. I'm considering adding a 125w cfl to replace the three smaller ones (I doubt they'd all fit) but I don't know if it would be worth it. I already get half an ounce per plant with my current setup which isn't bad for autoflowers. Do you guys think it would be worth adding the 125w red cfl. If so, I'd be grateful to hear you reasons.

Peace.

get rid of the 15 watters there lumens per watts are shit really shouldnt use anything less than 23 waters but if you add the 125 your yeild will go up some also heat may rise a lil

I'm sure I read something on here a while back that if you had, for example, 8 15w CFL's it would be better than just 1 125w CFL in terms of lumens. I don't know the physics of it, maybe something to do with surface area.

And superstoner I'm on about adding a red CFL

that is true maybe if you were running 23 watters but the 3 15 watters put out less lumens then the 125 watter no doubt about it what are the lumens rated on the bulbs im running 382 watts on my current grow thats actual watts

i am prolly going to get this about 80% right . the reason the say 8 15's vs 1 125 , is you can distribute light around the plant better , where as the effective range of cfl's is about 1foot radius , which diminishes by like 50%-66% or more by the 2nd foot radius . alot has to do with lumens per watt , and of course color . blue light contains more energy than red/orange light . and lumens is a bad way to interpret light for bud growing , as it has to do with how the human eye reacts to light or something like that .

if you notice your light array , and the distance from the top of the bulbs back onto your grow service exceeds the the 1' foot rule , if you better reflected that light back onto your plant area you would prolly increase your growing area light by a factor of at or over 50% , same goes for side light . you only have a fraction of your 1 foot light range hitting your plant . like prolly 5% , i had much less lumens than you yet better results . more efficency will have a dramatic effect .

125w vs 45w is obvious ... i think i would prolly replace the 125blue for the 125 red during flowering but keep blue light , you might even phase the changes over time . but i am a newbie too , you might want to plan your next years improvements and plans , then get a concensus .

now i will go read where i fucked up . i forgot how you calculate this shit off head .
