both of those are good for veg people do flower with mh sometimes if they dont have an hps handy

the MH looks ok, but as said above, most use HPS for flowering..
As for the 42w CFL, i'd seen those bulbs and wondered what i'd fit 'em in, so fairplay to ya! just check the colour temp on the bulbs - warm white (@2700c iirc) for flowering.
i cant help thinking though that for your 40 squid on the 42w cfl and fitting, you could get a 125w cfl and budget reflector, from a variety of popular stores ;-) ... surely more bang for your buck there, and for and extra £20, you could have reflector, lead, and both a red and a blue bulb, so you can switch bulbs when you flower. gotta be worth thinking about..

Buy an HPS system, then you can buy a conversion bulb for vegging. It allows you to use a MH spectrum bulb in and HPS setup. So you jsut have to switch out the bulb to get proper spectrum for flowering and for vegging....

NO, usually when you buy a HPS system it comes with a flowering bulb, then just buy the conversion bulb on the side for veggin.
