Will buds continue to swell/ mature in the absence of leaves

ok say you got a really bad nutrient deficiency or problem around 3/4 into flower. Your weeks away from harvest, all your fan leaves have died but your sugar leaves are still green. Your buds are still too small and probably nowhere near potent enough yet. Will the buds continue to fatten up and mature or does the lack of fan leaves basically spell the end for your plant?

oh hell yeah they will, These are tough plants my friend! they grow in the desert haha If all the fan leaves are off its going to focus all its energy on the remaining buds and there suger leaves, so my guess is your suger leaves will be getting very big and I don't think you will be disappointed with the yield.

I doubt it, he just said he has a nutrient deficiency problem, which means he has little or no nutes, without nutes your buds will stay cotton-balls at best.

If you fix your nutrient problem your buds will grow to a good size, just not as big as they would have.

If you don't fix your nutrient problem don't expect much growth.

Losing all your fan leaves to a nute deficiency is not a good thing by any stretch of the imagination, but all is not lost. I'd give her a really heavy flushing then start 1/2 dose nutes again. As stated above, your buds will not reach the level of loveliness they would have with fan leaves providing them energy, but you will still get a harvest. In the meantime, check your records and try to figure out what happened with your nutes so you don't make the same mistake next time. Carry on soldier.

thanks dudes. That was actually worst case scenario. I have a bit of a problem but I haven't lost all leaves .. yet.. just thinking what if.

the buds will swell but what you have described is a limiting factor so you will realize a somewhat smaller yield as the plant hasn't reached its full potential.

cool thanks. I knew it wont be as good as it could have been ,as long as they finish up ill be happy enough
