will i get an ounce?

so anybody got any ideas on how tall before flowering and how many branches before flowering it would take to get an oz from 1 plant

There is no exact rule of thumb to many variables in the mix.

Most indicas I let grow to about 18" - 24" do to the fact for me is they don't grow much taller when put into 12/12.

The affy in my test run started at 12" and now it is around 16" but the buds are fat as hell.

When I grow in dirt I always put them in a min of a 5 gallon pot. The bigger the roots the more flower you get.

I avg about 8 oz per plant per harvest and I harvest 2 times per plant on most indicas.

I also feed all the way to the end. Remember nitrogen is need when in flowering, it helps the plant uptake more water and keeps the plant growing all the way to the end.(big fat buds)

Some one asked me what this plant total dry weight was. IDK it is still growing, the fist half will be chopped around the 3rd of March. the 2nd half a few weeks later.

your buds look really nice, i cannot wait till i get my taxes. i am going to get 2x250w cfls to keep my mothers under, while using my 600w hps for flowering in a different grow cab set-up

I use a 4 lamp 2 x 4 troffer from home depot with 5000K lamps. total lumes 12,000 cost $65.00

The lamps cost under $5.00 each plus the only loses 10% total light by the end of life. that is 6 years worth of light.

how is the plant that little if you vegged her for 11 weeks?? usually thats around the time i harvest my plants, do you measure ph and what size bucket do you have her in

what is the wattage per lamp? how many plants do you put under one of them. could you post a link so i can get a better idea of what your talking about please. are they suitable for flowering or veg?

I have used one before for flower on a bubblegum got 2 oz out of one plant using a 3500K lamps

the have a nice selection of lamps from 2200k to 6500k.

I just take off the lens, there are 4 lamps in it.

actually i vegged for 8 weeks my camera date was 3 weeks into the future when i tallied the days. didn't realize it until after i posted this thread
i mixed my own soil and i added way too much cal/mag, didn't know how much i was supposed to add so i added a whole lot:-(. i didn't have a ph meter and wasn't aware of how much it would affect the outcome of the plants. ph was wrong the whole time.

so they are flourescent lights? what are the dimensions? do they vary in wattage? they may be too big for what i plan to do. but i may consider getting a couple for side lights:bigjoint:

I just got done reading through your thread and felt compelled to respond. Flower that mother and get rid of her. That girl has been suffering her whole life, release her spirit already. When you get your check, get a digital ph tester. You can find a hannah checker for around thirty bucks on the internet. Nice job on revegging her and I do think you may get an ounce, so let her go after she does and find a new mother. Don't use your own soil again, ever. It's rather expensive for me to use foxfarm soils exclusively, so I also buy a big bag of Scott's Premium container potting soil and a bag of miracle grows organic, both from home depot. I use ocean forest and happy frog from foxfarm and I mix some of each altogether throw in some extra worm castings and perlite and she's ready to be put into containers. I use two and three gallon waste paper baskets from walmart, less than three bucks each and can be used over and over.

Start over, get rid of anything you created in the line of soil. Get a ph meter. I ph my mixes to 6.5 until flowering and then lower it to 6.3. As one astute poster stated, the soil will make it rise over time. I end up right around seven when done. Your plants all appear to be stretching, low nitrogen and your lights are to far away is my guess, plus the death soil you created. Now look at the bright side, you learned something and I'm pretty sure you won't go that route again. Light is the plants food, everything else is additives. Keep your lights as close as possible without burning your plants. The hand test.

Yes it is a fluorescent light at it is 2 ft.wide x 4 ft.long.

I don't have any side lights at all, I just use it only for the pre-bloom stage.

I use a 2 lamp 4ft T8 shop light for my clones.

Most soils are great ph buffers. I never ph my water when is soil.

What is your water's ph out of the tap?

Mine is 8 so I just add 30 drops per gallon of PH down, and if my ph is to low I just add water to raise it back up. This is for my DWC plants.

I will try to always re-veg a good growing plant to get clones for her, I have also seen that the second time around she gives more, and you can dual harvest her as well.

a little late on this but, i should wipe my ass with that lumen chart, it says that at a safe distance a 430 outputs more lumens then a 1000w, fuck a chart theres nothing like first hand experience, i personally carry my 1000 watter about 6 inches away right now

take cuttings from her and start fresh with PHed water the whole way through.then take whats left of the mother ,put her in a corner, forget about her and tend to your clones, when you put them on 12/12 go back and harvest the mother.and youll have at least that 1/2 oz.

I started with a unrooted 1.5" cutting that i put into a rockwool cube diped in a homemade rooting agent on 1/6/10 and it grew roots while in 12/12.

I think I will get a oz dry in the end.

The first two pics are what it looks like as of 2/15/10 and the last two pics were from 1/13/10 a week after the cutting was taken.

I wont be cutting till 3/3/10 what realy sucks is it had 4 branches by the end of week two and I broke one off.

I am loving DWC!
