Will I trigger flowering bringing plants from 18/6 to outside?

My plants are on 18/6 light schedule right now and they’re going outdoors around may first, I totally forgot about the fact that the light schedules will be a lot different. It’ll be going from 18/6 to 15/9. If I gradually change lighting by a half hour each day to finally match 15/9 on may first will they start to bud?
Please help thanks!

You're on the right track..
15/9 isnt too bad..but you want to make sure light hours are close when tou make the move or a suddenly reduction may trigger flowering inadvertently...1/2 reduction every 2-3 days to be safe..till you're more or less in sync..

cheers

Remember..sync is not just hours but also start and stop for light ..mimicking sun rise and sundown

Do you think a half hour reduction of light every day to get me down to 15/9 would possibly trigger followering?, got no choice to put them outside around may first they out grown my indoor tent Lol

Your guess is as good as mine..some strains are more sensitive..g/l..

could use a small led or something outside..just a little light to extend hours temporarily if need be..doesnt have to throw significant watts

You should be fine. There is a good period in the morning and night that is not light but not dark its not like growing in a tent where the light is on or off. And the days are getting longer. Even if the plant starts to flower, it will go back to veg when it realizes the days are getting longer and likely never show signs of flower.

No, the slow decrease of the amount of light per day will make them think its fall and be more likely to cause flower. They will be in shock for a week or two when you put them outside anyway you really dont have anything to worry about.
