hey guys ima be growing inn a 2x2x4 box that is completely sealed that is exausted by 2 inline fans from home depot that are roughly 150 cfm a piece i will be venting directly out my attic and want to grow aout 2 plants my question is would it smell around my house??? should i ake a carbon filter and put it over the exaust?

it's unlikely that it will smell if you are only growing two plants and are venting out of the top of your house. i guess the only question is, how tall is your house? if it's over twenty feet high then don't think twice about it.

unless you are growing some wicked ass skunk and someone has a drug dog walking by i wouldn't worry about it too much. the breeze that is blowing at that altitude will blow away any smell even from a good number of plants. grow on, no fear.

thx bro but just in case i catch thatt wrong breeze walking up my steps ittl only take me 15 min to make a fiter :)

it doesn't make sense to have 2 outakes and no intake the air needs to be circulated every 5 minutes. And yes it will smell buy a carbon filter and a decent inline fan.

i have a 120 mm fan for the intake in the box and it the exaust is a small bendable duct that connect the exaust hole of the ox to one side of the cooltube then from the other ide of the cool tube i have anothher duct that has the 2 inine drawing tha ir out the box and the heat off the bulb directly out the attic

What kind of lighting are you using? You definately need intake. Your cheap home depot fans should cool CLFs but no way with HID in that space. Build zen master's cheap DIY carbon filter from walmart and have your exhaust sucking stinky air inside your room thru the filter and blowing it outside. Better safe than sorry on smell. One plant can stink up a house (depending on room location) if it's good bud, trust me on that one.

no no no u guys dont under stand i have a 2x2x4 box in an attic there is a hole in the top of the box ten i placedthe cooltube over that hole put a refleector on top and sealed it with heat resistant tape then simply attached all the ducts and fans and vented it out

It's going to be tough cooling that small space with 400w HPS. I run a 600w cool tube, 250 CFM squirrel cage fan in a 4x4 with an AC and i'd still like to make it cooler. You will need a good fan for exhaust and cool air coming in, so make sure the attic is cool (may need AC).
