will male pollen sacs open if taken out of 12/12?

I've taken a male that is full of sacs out of my grow room (don't want an accidental pollen pop). can i leave him somewhere where the light will be turned on from time to time as i go in and out of that room or do i need to continue to give him 12/12 lighting in order for those sacs to open up? since its winter that room goes dark actually before 12 hours of light is in place, but i go in there at least 2-3 times after sundown and the lights are turned on in the room.

if you don't need the pollen trash the plant

you need the pollen re locate that plant as far from the females as humanly possible

a simple 25w cfl in a confined area is good

I often repot to a quarter the current size

you only need a plant the size of your thumb!

and trim heavily

the trim is a shock to the plant that can take 2-3 weeks to recover

just in time for the arrival of the flowers

to then pollinate with a cotton bud

before moving or it you are in the male plant zone

spray water over the females over yourself and the gen area to neutralize that highly active pollen that you think is still immature

the lil sucker needs light and 12x12 is still the best

the reason i ask is because i had a male under 24/0 light, and it flowered and i collected it's pollen. But it was also in a very small container and standing pretty tall. More than likely root bound. I've heard male plant flowers will open when root bound in any lighting conditions. So with everything going on right now it would be very convenient to be able to just set this guy by the window and go about life. I guess I'll run the experiment and find out!

Well the experiment was a success. several pollen sacs have opened. I left the plant by the window, there is a light on in the hallway near there and he's been getting 24 hour light for at least a week now. sacs opening just fine.

I don't see why it wouldn't be as potent. I'm glad I experimented. This saves a lot of hassle for me. I will collect this pollen over the course of the next week and use it on the female counterpart. We will see how it goes, I'm quite sure the seeding will be just fine.

You know I find so many times that when I ask a question on here that I just get the run of the mill answer, or someone links me to some huge stupid write up. People are so sheepish. Especially when it comes to weed, no one wants to be "that guy", who gets called out as an amateur and isn't mr. 420 dope growa. Seems like most people aren't really that well educated, but they know all the facts and parrot them back. They know the text book answers but don't dare to explore beyond that... it reminds me of when I youtube some grow journal and you just get your cliche dumb rap music or raggae music in the background (cause you know that makes your grow legit) and some fool acting like he gangsta, all sling slangin' his ridiculous 420 terms all over the damn place. POT culture has been disgustingly infused with POP culture and it's fucking ridiculous. Everything these days is POP culture. Rap music, country music, the clothing, metal music, tv, movies. Nothing annoys me more than seeing all these dweebs with the peaks of their hats all straight, and then they gotta come up and fist bump you like it's the fifth grade. Right on BRO, Dank! 420! Epic! Sick! SHEEEEEEP. So VERY VERY susceptible to anything that's served up on the "cool" plate. The future is bleak. The mass media is in absolute control. Everything from the toys your 2 year old son plays with, to the weed your 19 year old son is growing in his closet, to the fucking car your uncle bob drives. The great money machine!

Haha I totally agree with you man. As a young father of two (mid 20's) I realize that's there's no hope for the youth. Our society in America is definitely based around materialism and self absorbed egotistic ideas. BUT being aware is half the battle. All we can do for now is just stay true to our roots and keeping preaching about awareness
