Will my babies die?

I have a few 3-4 week old plants, they are not very big and defiantly should not be on their own yet. There is a huge heat spike in the day where it can go up to 100 degrees F. I recently went on vacation for a week, and I am wondering of they will dehydrate while I am gone. I put coverings on the soil and watered them before I left. It rains usually every 3 days. I normally watered them once a day, everyday. Will this change in water kill them?

I went on vacation a few years back and was worried so I filled a two liter bottle with water turned it upside down and stuck it in the soil. They also sell something like this at lowes that does the same thing.
