Will my buds manage without leaves??

Ive been flowering under a 400 hps for 8 weeks and all the leaves, apart from the bud leaves, have turned yellow and eventully died. The buds still look healthy although the leaves around them are starting to turn yellow. will the buds be ok??
I stopped nuting them a few weeks back. What should i do??
 
the yellowing of the leaves are the plant taking nutes from its leafs to use in the buds. though ive never seen a case this extreme, maybe a more experienced grower can help you.
 
It may be normal for the strain you are growing to do such. My SLH does that every time and I still have 3 weeks left. OG#18 one pheno caused all my fat leafs to yellow and die fast, leaving only bud leafs, and the other plant has a different pheno, which allows the sun leafs to stick around for a long time and also much fatter buds (like spears). I believe most Haze strains (pure) will drop almost all leafs before being close to harvest.
 
Yeah, the smoke will be okay, just a little less yield than you could've had. I've done the same thing, myself, had zero fan leaves, and the plant still produced pretty good. The smoke was excellent, too. How many weeks do you think you have left? It's probably a good idea to give them a light feeding,(like 1/4 strength) being that they're awfully hungry, by now. Next time around, use the veg fert a little longer, and that'll keep your fan leaves green, til late in flowering. :)
 
If you use Fox Farm Ocean Forest, it will help keep things green in 12/12.

Fan leaf is importent thay help feed the plant cutting them will make ur plant weak and grow less keep them on tel u pull her. let it grow......
 
I'm growing Arjans haze no.3 so thats probably why. I'll give her a small feed the next time i water. Its my first grow so I'm still learning. Thanks for the advice peeps ;-)
 
Oh and Greenhouse seeds reckon 10-12 weeks flowering. Im into the eighth week. Do you think I should harvest early??
 
I have some blackjack going that has done the same exact thing. I think I overfertilized and also overwatered early in the flowering cycle. This really messed it up. Right now, maybe three weeks left, they look rather shitty, but the bud might end up being OK. The other problem with mine is they never frosted up like a really healthy plant would do. I have cut a few early buds and it isn't too bad. Not real strong but a good high. I suggest you just play it out and try to be sensitive to what the plant needs. If your buds start seriously shrinking, then you might harvest early. Otherwise, give it a go.
