ok heres my situation. I have a few very small female sativa/indica hybrid plants that are about 11 in. tall thta are starting to bud.

I strted them as seedlings in mid august figuring that since i live in southeast texas where it doesnt get very cold until around november, i could let them bud right untill the temps dip below 45.

could this be possible? i know ill have to harvest early, so im not expecting super quality weed btw. Please give me feedback!!!

it could probably go into november a little bit. The plants can withstand temperatures lower than 45, especially if you cover them. I know it has been 45 degrees every night for the past week or two by me and mines still kicking.

the temps where i live are getting to the lower 30s in the nights and my plants are fine. i wouldnt let them get any colder than that though.

You can ghetto rig it if you want, and just throw a garbage bag over it on the cold nights.....that seemed to work for me.

I too live where conditions now are 30 to 40 at night, I would say if you want to put the effort into it just do what gardeners do and cover them at night. As I remember it still gets pretty warm during the day down there in Texas so you should be alright for awhile. Sure seems a shame to go that far only to harvest early. I would try to do anything possible to not harvest early. Even if it does seem ghetto do what you gotta do.

Check out this map. http://www.botanicalinterests.com/pdf_downloads/First%20Fall%20Frost%20Map.pdf

Being in SE Texas, your first frost date is a while off. I would not worry about a protective cover until after you reach the average first frost date.

Good growing and good luck.
