hello,

I have a real serious fucking problem, I was tending to my ladies, and I was admiring my most favorable one of the batch, and right at the knuckle where I topped it and it got 4 tops, the WHOLE branch at that knuckle split ALMOST completely off.. it was hanging on by a little but not much.. PIcs are below... what I did was put it back into its place with a ziptie, will it heal itselt back together? or is that WHOLE MAIN BRANCH ruined? should I try to root it? its about a foot tall.. I have a feling it is fucking ruined, im soo pissed.. please tell me it will heal, but don't lie lol.. it happened 5 minutes ago, I can still TRY to clone it.. any suggestions

the reason apart of me felt, that just maybe it wil recover is because when people supercrop, sometimes there branchs are holding on for dear life.. so idk, this is really bothering me, upsetting me, as this was my best healthy and bushiest plant, theses are soon going outside ..

She should be algood. My outdoor plant split alot worse then that awhile ago and it still went on to produce bud. It didn't heal properly so i had to keep the tape on till harvest but it was algood :)
Mine happened in flower.

It's all good buddy. I've mended worse. Broken branches happen, but if you get to it quick with some tape and a splint like our friend, Letstrip demonstrated, it should be fine.

You did a nice job of taping it up. Same thing has happened to me during a storm and it healed OK enough to really produce well. Looks like crap....turned into 2 trunks instead of one, topped to 4 main colas.

Wiggidy, what you're trying to do is what us grafters do, match the cambium tissue. When I graft (citrus, avocados, etc.) I use green plant tape if I need to really cinch it down, Parafilm for a lighter touch. You can use that or have someone hold the proper positions and then aggressively wrap it with duct tape or the stretchy black tape Letstrip used, which is a better choice. It will heal just fine considering it didn't break completely apart.

You didn't have this in the poll, but my answer would've been

E: fuck yes you can save that thing, its nowhere near fucked.

I've seen some pretty amazing things in terms of plants healing from breaks. Honestly, even if you had it fixed to where the gap/tear was still open that thing would still make it. I've had some much worse than that that have made it.

My advice, tho, is to be careful not to let it get worse. It looks like you taped the shit out of it, so it will do fine as long as it doesn't have any more traumas.

Your all good dude I would use tape and make sure it's sealed up you don't want bacteria and fungus getting in there.it will heal faster and stronger!
