Will Partial Outdoor Sun Increase Stretching?

I recently started a small cabinet grow indoors, they are about 13 days old now and doing ok. They are vegging under cool white CFL's under 24/0 but the lower leaves seem to not get enough light. I'm in a room connected to my own secluded patio but due to me starting too late this year in Texas I wouldn't be able to finish outdoors.

I'm growing in a semi small cab and I have real height restrictions but I would like to put my seedlings outdoors on my patio during the hours that I get direct sunlight, the way my patio faces I get direct sunlight from the afternoon until sunset. I'd like to do this until it gets to cold for the plants or until the plants get to big.

My question is will me putting out my seedlings in the hours of direct sunlight increase stretching by any decent margin? Like I said I have real height restrictions in my cab, 22 1/2" from the bottom of my lights to the bottom of my cab (still have to add in the pot height). I always top and LST hardcore to make it work.

If I do put them outside during the direct sunlight hours I would be putting them right back in my cab before the sun sets under cool white cfl's for 24/0 until I decide to flower.

I can't have to much stretching but I do want maximum growth and of course those extra hours of direct sunlight would be so much better than my cool white cfl's but I just can't have any major stretching. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

As long as it dosn't frost the outside temps should be fine for your plants. You plants will do fine in low temps outside during the day. It dosn't get too cold in Texas does it? The plants won't really start to explode in height until flowing anyways. Then you could just leave them outside then.

Hmm, would it really be ok for me to just put them outdoors until harvest (Texas)? I would sacrafice yield because right now they would go straight into flowering but as long as they live I wouldnt care. It can get pretty cold here, thoughts?

I meant place them outside once you want them to flower. You can bring them in and out when the suns out. The best way to prevent stretch is to ensure they have enough light. I would add some more cfls during the veg stage. During the veg stage they shouldn't get too awlful tall if you have enough light on them. Once you run out of room that would be a good time for flowering. Someone may have some better info for you, so keep checking. Im just a well read newb.
