Will the power company notice

Ok,
What I'm looking for is reliable info about general power company practices and what they monitor.
Currently I am running 2 lights in my setup both 600 hps and one comes on at4:30 am and off at 10 pm and the other running 5 to 5 pm

I want to move the time back over the next two weeks to where the lights go on at 11 or 12 pm and off and 11/12 and 430 respectively so I can b growing mostly at night when the air outside is cooler.

But I'm concerned about the change in time of day that my heavy usage will occur and off this will set off a flag that will be suspicious.

In a couple months I will be switching my third 600 on and switching all time to 12 12 so this is a factor too I'd be running 1800+watts throughout the night.

I want to be safe

Thats not enough power to flag an alert and you have to remember that the power company is in business for one reason and one reason only...MONEY! Pay your bill on time and no worries.

the more electricity you use the happier the power company is, they just want your money dude. people are way to paranoid about this issue, unless your running like 10 1ks there is no issue if you pay your bills

Thanks for the quick replies. I know it's parinoia but it's also my life my baby my girl my house, so I'm just looking to be safe. Now that that's handled I guess I'll commence with the time scaleback. I guess I shoulda figured this out on my own I do have 3 1500 watt space heaters( no longer needed...fireplace...yippie). And I ran then at strange times and my girl would always leave them full blast all night and a watt is a watt is a watt so sorry now that I asked now but, better safe than sorry

I run 8-1000s - two ACs -two tech lights - 1- 600W - 6 oscillating fans - 3 inline 8" fans and other various power consumers including elec heat. Last year I had cause to talk to the power company that included a review of my past bills. The elec co reps only comment was - "you sure use a lot of power don`t you?"LMAO

Yeah Im a heavy PC user both me and the wife, I have 2 machines one has a 1.2Kw power supply and the other a 1k, hers is a 850
we game hard during the winter and ran our bill higher than when I gro, no problems at all.
They really need more than a $60 higher than normal bill, if your bill is $600+ they might start wondering.
But over 1.2-1.8kw worth is a no biggie
make sure you dont overload the branch your on.

Thanks for the replies this is kinda old but I do apprieciate the info on the off peek hrs, I think I'm getting a small break on the power too bc it hasent been what I've expected but il have to run the numbers. Dude with the computers damn man I have an apple that's built to the gills and I'm pretty sure it uses about as much power as an incandecent 120 w when running full speed on both drives and less than 13 w when sleeping u talking about 2k +watts for 2 computers... Geeze

maybe thats you small break, i found that information on my electric provider's website

3 cent per kWh is a great drop, 37.5% reduction actually, I pay 11 c here and I thought it was a flat rate but it seems my usage is higher but same price so like I mentioned I'll run the numbers and c what the new average is. I'd love to pay8 c per kWh let alone 5 I'd get 2 more lights
