Will the seeds be fine?

Hi, I germed 8 big buddha cheese seeds for my brother and I germed them on top of an emergency boiler in the airing cupboard which gets slightly warm even though it's turned off and within 24 hours they all had tap roots about half an inch long so i've planted them all and put the seed tray at the bottom of the airing cupboard but temps are 29c, will that be fine? I could alternatively put them somewhere else and put a few cfls over them to help with heat because if I put them elsewhere then it'll probably get too cold and that means making a small grow box out of cardboard, if I can save the hassle of that though I will.

That's fine if they still haven't popped - beneficial I would say. Would only leave them there for 24 hours though, then go for the CFL option, as they will obviously need the light.

I'll do the box then, I know i'll need light sooner or later but I heard they don't benefit from light until the first set of true leaves begin to show. The shells are still on them probably another day or 2 until they fall off.

Technically they don't. It's one of those 'open to debate' issues though. Obviously they will need light at some point, so getting busy making the box won't be wasting your time.

What a good bro you are btw! :-)

Thanks man :bigjoint:, i'll make the box tonight should only take me 20 mins or so, i'm not new to diy grow boxes lol first with cardboard though, I normally do them with cabinets or something.

seeds should be fine... I'm one of those people who put light on sprouts as soon as they break ground... I believe the light helps direct the sprouts in the right direction, kinda like sea turtles hatching and making their way to the ocean by moonlight.
