Will this work for about maybe 5 to 8 plants?? just for vegging only
105 Watt - CFL - Compact Fluorescent - Spring Lamp - Full Spectrum Daylight 6500K - MegaLight # S28105-65 Light Bulb
its gunna be $109 for these and thats a little bit on my first grow but I want to make it right with a high yield, i'm pulling out all the strings even getting fox farms ocean forest and light warrior which is $65. i even got a roll of 2 mil mylar

But What is the average amount of bulbs people use for 5-8 plants? and whats the average wattage? will these bulbs work above? its about 20,000 lumes combined. just want to know what everyone else uses and how these compare. will these bulbs stop working? is this brand good? thankskiss-ass
and also, can anyone recommend and good bases i can put these in? so i can just screw in an plug in?

I would think that those three bulbs would get retardly hot! Im using 3 42watt bulbs and now 4 23 watters {started with 6} and it gets pretty hot in there even with 4 fans going.....!

I would try 2 of the 150w hps econolights. I myself use 12 26w CFL's and I am vegging 4 plants without a problem.

thing is that i'm not paying the bill so I cant get an HPS or MH till I get to the flowering, I want to MEGA VEG!!
And I only have an available 2 outlets on the wall, maybe another 2 if I run a lead so I dont want like 12 bulbs going
any suggestions for something less but not to many bulbs?

QUESTION: EXACTLY HOW MANY LUMENS AM I SHOOTING FOR WITH 5-8 PLANTS ON VEGG? the 3 105 watters are 21,000 lumes

so 3 105 watters is 315 watts, thats over the amount of wattage of a 250 MH?

I really wanted to VEGG in CFL
So Exactly how many CFLS do I need with 5-8 plants? and I dont want to have a shitload of like 12 bulbs so whats the ratio to wattage/# of bulbs?

Basically I want to know how many LUMENS i need to do a really nice VEGG on 5-8 plants
I can go to 1000bulbs and find some 65 or 80 watters or some other ones that equal the amount of lumens needed and this is ALL going to be in Mylar

Here is the deal, if you have 3 bulbs with 5000 lumens each, its not gonna do any good if you cannot surround the plant with light, hence having smaller bulbs that can surround the plant. If you have 5-8 plants with 3 lights total, versus 5-8 plants with 12 lights, which one do you think has better coverage? Like I said, I have 12 26w CFL's on 4 plants and they are vegging really well.

any problems with electrical on 12 bulbs? how many outlets do you use?

Yeh, I'll probably try and go for a lot of em, along with my Mylar, it will be a BLAST!

i have 1 70watt hps and like 10 23 watt cfl's and 1 42 watt cfl all on the same outlet.


if you don't want to do custom wiring then get one of those outlet strips and plug a light into each one.

you most likely don't want to excede 12 amps on any of your outlets. total the watts and divide by 120. that will give you your amps.

i got 10 under these lights the big ones like u got up there not 105 watt tho there 45 watt and they stay real cool cooler then the 27 wat ones i got i cant hoild them in my hand but them 45 watt i could touch my cock with they dont get hot at all (i dont know about the 105 these are 45) and huge :) but now i got 10 4 clones and a mother under them all see how that works but have to add a couple i got more fixtures and crap just piece them together at home depo and u can do any combanation of lighting but i got like 400 watts of cfls there

Mr I Can Do That For Half
For cfls figure 68 bulbs per plant.Your better off to use a simple 4 tube florescent shop light.They cost about $65 at home depot. They have 4 T-8 bulbs which can be 32 watts or less each your chose.You can also get a simpole 70 watt mh or hps light at most home depots for around $80 or a digital switchable 400 ballast for around $99.A 400 watt hid light run 24 hours a day for 30 days will cost about $30 a motn or $15 for running it 12/12 or on 18/6 about $20 a month
