Will this be enough light?

50 watts per square foot
or
about 100 watts per plant, so 3 ideally, but you could get away with two, someone else can give second opinion

Just two will suffice added to the tubes you have. A third will always help not hurt, and definitely increase your yield. That's all.

If your using those CFL's i would get 4. One per plant. 125 Watts of CFL is enough to effectively flower ONE plant.

the better option here would be to get a Single 400 Watt HPS lamp and run that. HPS lamps give out avg. 100 Lumens per watt, and produse LESS heat than CFL's. CFL bulbs produce an average of 60 Lumens per watt, making for more heat per Lumen watt.

400 HPS Lamp will cost $100 and a 120 CFM Fan will Cost $70 but it will be WELL worth the money spent for the added quality of bud your going to get.

about 100 watts per plant
CFL's = 100 Watts per Plant MINIMUM. a plant needs 8700 Lumens MINIMUM to flower properly. 60 lumens per watt, 60x 125 = ~8,000 Lumens..... not quite enough....

which means 125 x 4= 500 Watts = 5 plants. 125 x 3= 375 watts. you would still need to add Light for every plant to get proper lumen output.

Based on you moving the tubes out, the above is very good information.

the whole reason I was going with the CFL's was a heat issue in my grow box. I have 2 inline fan boosters hooked up a fan in my box and it was not enough for my 1000w hps light. currently i have 4 plants under 4 floresent tubes on 12/12 my box is 6 feet tall,2 feet wide and 6 feet long.

I was thinking these would put out less heat and use less electricity as well...

they do do that but also produce less buds

The TRUTH here is that CFL's are hotter Per watt then HPS lamps. and on top of that, HPS lamps are much more efficient.....

The reality of the Situation is HPS lamps use less electricity and produce less heat than the same wattage of CFL Bulds.

I have 2 inline fan boosters hooked up a fan in my box and it was not enough for my 1000w hps light.
you should have told us you have a 1000 watt light. stop being CHEAP and buy a 250 + CFM Fan.,,, http://www.ebay.ca/itm/6-Inch-Inline-Hydroponics-Duct-Fan-Exhaust-Blower-NEW-/270770208725?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item3f0b297fd5 $99 American for a 400 CFM Fan. STOP BEING SO CHEAP AND BUY THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT.
