i checked it out at home depot and it said it could eliminate odors in 100 square feet in 1 1/2 hours...will this do the trick (im on a tight budget)

hey hotpocket! im getting hungry now.... mmmhh hot pockets... good stuff... lol anyways, i didnt read that it had a carbon prefilter in there. the carbon prefilters along with a hepa filter do a better job at removing odors than a hepa filter alone. i saw on a uk ganja website that these guys made a DIY carbon filter with these carbon prefilters. they also said that it removed all the odors..... ya look for one with a carbon preflter built into it. im not sold how effective ionizers are at removing odors but carbon filters definitely do.. just my 2 cents. some work better than others. some just 'ionize' the air other ones have the charcoal filters and all the hepta filters and the like. here in the US most of those ionizers will work for a small setup. I mean small. I have 20 plants and it does not do the job too well. I just burn incense every now and then. I also buy car air fresheners (black cherry) 3-packs and just hang them outside my grow-room. I haven't even thought about harvest time when they really will smell when they start to dry! but if you intend to stick with growing, by all means invest in a filter of good quality. the charcoal ones online here are good enough. Check out youtube for some good homemade types. Being in the states I just can't just stroll into my local hydro store and pick one up, but maybe you can. if not check around prices vary ALOT!

Go to publix or a grocery store and buy thoose cinaminnon brooms. They are like 3-4 dollards and are the best!!

Also, will that ionic purifier work if placed just outside a 4x4x6 grow room?

Like mig said, it depends on the strain. Ive heard guys on here say that their plants start stinking during veg growth! I assume though that the last month of harvest would have to be the stinkiest part. Also look into Ona blocks, they are supposed to neutralize chemical and organic odors. They are also cheap enough, you can get them for like 8 bucks. heres a couple links
