Hello everyone...

i just had a quick question...would this provied enough ventilation for a room the size of...

width 10ft
height 8ft
length 13ft

heres the link for the fan...Vortex fan

growing specs...
right now just 400w light
24 site diy aeroflo
isolating fans
light mover
ect....

so it only takes up about a 5' by 5' space.....

thanks

I would buy 2 of those fans, however in the 6" models. The more air I can move and remove, the better in my opinion.

agreed....I have the 6'' fan and filter combo from HTG supply...and it's 424 cfm too much for my 5x5x6.5 room but it's better to move and remove than not enough

That fan will completely exhaust your room in 6 minutes.
10x8x13=1040cubic feet.
1040cubic feet divided by 172CFM = 6.04, or rounded to 6 minutes.

The ideal exhaust is to exhaust the complete room in 3 to 5 minutes. Every 6mins isn't that bad. It's your call.

I would check out HTGsupply, I don't know if you are in the market for a carbon filter as well but they have a killer combon on a fan and filter, both high quality worksmanship, for $199...the downside is the fan is pretty loud, but I am in the process of building a box to knock down the noise
