Planning on using SOG method, Deep Water Culture. Hoping to grow prob. Blueberry, Northern Lights, or super lemon haze (super-cropping of course). How many plants would I be able to do? This is how I plan to set it up.

(2) 4x2x5 ft grow tents, one for veg and one for flowering
(1) 46" 4 bulb Hydrofarm T5 grow light in the veg tent
(1) 400 watt HPS light in the flowering tent
(1) S&P TD-100X (135 cfm) inline fan connected to carbon filter

I'd like the two tents to be connected to one fan and one carbon filter by a duct splitter so I could avoid buying two of everything and also because of minimal space. Also can someone recommend me any methods or products to bring fresh air into the tents? I was going to use those duct booster fans and place them inside some insulated ducts or a couple of regular desk fans.

Advice and suggestions greatly appreciated!

look great .. tho one thing I for sure would upscale a bit is your ventilation .. atlest a 5" (I use one for a room the size of one of your tents)

so I would maybe even get a 6" fan ..

sumthing like this:

vents_vk_fan_thumb.jpg

and if it was me I would spend the extra 20-40$ to get one with speed controle so you can adjust it ...

dont try to cut corners here .. you will regret it .. I would actualy do it totaly diffrent ..

I would use "your" ventilation for the Veg room (with out filter .. no need)

and "my" ventialtion for the flower room with the carbon filter on (filters take atlest 20% of the sug of a ventilation so count that in as well .. tubeing and bends will also make it less effectiv so not to mouch of that .. dont think you would regret it if you got a cool tube for that 400W and run the ventilation/filter through it ..

another thing ..

T5 is great .. I use em .. tho make sure its the HO type (high output) or you might aswell get 58W T8 tubes insted ..

and get more then 4 .. tho 4 is ok as a start .. unless you plan just to veg 2-3 weeks ??
I have 6 bulbs and I have a hard time keeping 4 plants under it after 4-5 weeks of Veg ..

p.s.

you wont need a intake ventilation .. just a passiv intake hole/s

its pure Physics .. as your out take ventilation pull old/hot air out of your tent .. air will automaticly be pulld in .. under presure ..
you need to keep a littel bit of under presure (use the speed controle fan or make more/less in take holes) to avoide smell to escape the flowering tent ..

tho I use my old vent (similiar to the one you want to use) as intake vent .. to help pull fresh air/co2 in from the out doors (a passiv intake over my window in my room I got my grow room in)

just connectet it to my passiv intake with some tubeings .. not nesseary tho .. but since I got the small ventilation (I had to skip it since it was to small)
I might aswell .. also so I dont have to keep windows open all the time .. so I have that strain of fresh air + 2 passiv holes (around 3x the size of my outake)

Yea I would definitly go with a 6 inch inline fan I used a 4 for 1 of those tents and did u say flood and drain cause there's definitly no room in that thing for a flood table an I started budding right about 12 inch an they still got really close to the light luckily that fan was pullin all the heat straight out ..pic on left with lighter is actually a plant from the grow I speakof I ran a 600. Hps tho anyways good luck man

Thanks for the input guys. I was planning on doing deep water culture with airstones.

2x4 is great for hydro. Many kits (hydrogarden dual-flow is a good one) are built for it.
400w is great for that size. Make sure you orientate the bulb the right way (should be pointed across the shortest axis).
You need at least 300cfm for a 400. Ignore all the 'calculators' etc. They tend to work on the theory that air needs to be exchanged at x rate per hour and take no account of light/heat build-up/ambient temps. Even fan size makes no difference. It's the cfm that counts.
If you're doing SOG, I hope you have your cloning down.
