i bought it at the dollar store. looks preety neat for a humidity dome. will it work?

I don't see why not. Looks like a damn good idea to me! Just careful about putting it under a HID or something. Because the aluminum foil could get hot, quick, under a HID light. Otherwise I'd say great find!

I used to use a cold stone creamery cake cover-thingy as a humidity dome! haha...

Thats funny...everytime I see a cake at the grocery store I think about doing just that.

Thats hilarious. should work great in a fluorescent nursery. I use those take home containers from Bob Evans. Big black bottom with a snap on see through top. I use them for germinating and establishing seedlings.

haha...thank you HOC! I go to cold stone all the time(Especially when I'm baked, they got the best ice cream in town BTW) so I could probably stock up on a few of these! haha
