Looking to start a new grow in two 12x12x8 rooms. One for veg and one for flower. I'm thinking of getting a 10x10x6.5 tent for the one room. I want to do hydro with 24 plants. Can someone please help me design something? There is a window in the room but how the hell am I able to cool this room? I'm looking for efficiency. I want to be able to get a few pounds a month. -any help for a newbie is appreciated.

Hhhhhh.... get a smaller(not shorter, taller would be nice) tent so you can keep the res outside of the heat and have room to work. Cool it with a portable or a window unit with an hvac floor boot taped to it and feed a line into the tent.

To me it seems like you’re jumping into pretty deep water when you should be spending a little more time in the shallows. If this is your first grow why not make it as simple as possible so you can learn and make all your mistake now (and believe me you will make mistakes) before you spend a small fortune.

Dude I have a 10by 10 by 7 and a 4by10 by 7 and I'm in 4k with more to go... But if you insist...dump the tent use the room as one, just saved you some $$ you'll need it.

As far as cooling use 10" inline fans. One in one out. Sealed hoods another 8" inline fan. Your veg room same thing....see how this starts... I jumped in and got smacked by reality. You'll need air movement also 4 wall mounted oscillating fans 2 in each room should do... Where you plulling you intake from? Don't want outside air to unstable. Carbon scrubber for exhaust, unless you're legal even then don't want people to know you grow. A bunch of ducting and clamps..and if your lucky enough you won't Need an a.c..... Electric bill thru the roof and you're golden my man enjoy and welcome

Talk about setting yourself up to fail big time.

Just the fact that you wander in here and ask who knows what how to set up what could be a great grow space tells me, and others, that you are doomed before you start.

I grew my first buds in '78 and wandered thru various grow scenarios throughout the decades until buying my own place in '01 and growing regular ever since.

I've spent thousands of hours growing and twice that many reading about growing to help my grows and as many more helping nOObs get their grows together in forums like this.

One thing I will not do is spend my precious time aiding someone who hasn't even done the basic research to have at least some sort of plan that they want opinions on rather than, "Here's my space and dreams so tell me how to do it all."

Few pounds a month. Buy some lotto tickets for a better chance at getting rich quick.

Good luck!

That's a huge goal for a newbie. I'd start with 2 4x4 tents in the first room using fluorescents instead of hid's. Less heat, less problems for a new grower to deal with. Do a cheap diy flouro for veg and flower and see if you can get A single dwc grow. Get good at that first then go big.
In the mean time you can make some money by renting out your other free'd up room

Not a happy looking little girl for sure. She's definitely hungry so if you're not feeding her now I'd get to it asap. A balanced mix of the base nutes with some CalMag is called for here I'd go no more than half strength and probably around a 1/3 just to be safe. Might want a full dose of the CalMag as I hear that the coco binds those up pretty easy. Tried coco once but had no luck. Likely did it wrong 14 years ago. Cheap stuff in a brick and I didn't know to flush it or anything about it at the time. Wasn't on forums like this until about '08.

I stocked up with ProMix this year and have at least 800L so I'm sticking with that. :)

Do you not give them any nutes from the start? Is there a small amount of nutes that come in the coco like with some of the ProMix I have. All organic nutes in that stuff with Myco too. I just start feeding hydro nutes after a bit.

goooood judgment.(:

Dude start with 6 plants and after they are harvested you can get 12 work your way up to it. Starting out trying to run 24 plants assuming you will go perpetual to have a monthly harvest takes a lot of work and think you rather lose a grand or two with setting a small one up if it fails and you will change the way you have it set up.
I run 24 plant perpetual every month so i know what it is like.
