DSC00470.jpgDSC00473.jpgI couldn't agree more hole. I totally get the point of letting yor soil dry out before watering/feeding. But I dont agree with "starvation" as it was put. If the soil is dry and the plant is drooping, it needs water, therefor you should water it, not hold out and stress the plant. Here are pics from about 30 minutes ago. First one is before, second is not even 5 minutes after watering.

Maybe starvation is just a bad word to use. But in many grow books and articles I have seen the word "deprived" is used in explaining the wet/dry cycle early on and it's kinda the same thing.

I do think, especially for noobs, that the visual effects of over and underwatering are similar with drooping leaves. But overwatering is a more prolonged effect, where as wilting comes on quick and is very distinguishable after wilting has fully set in.

Yes, noticeable difference in pics.

I must say to that even though wilting is bad period, it's more unwanted in flower as it can do more damage there than in veg where one should practice the wet/dry more. In flower I tend to keep my girls on a much shorter wet/dry cycle and sometimes water them even if they don't need it quite yet.

So many other factors as well.

Agreed, I like to stall watering a little bit during veg in order to get those roots to grow and seek some moistire. But in veg or flower, if I see my plants drooping like that, its time to water. I am dealing with hot temps right now, so frequent watering is a must.

Totally agree!
Very important for clones in soil.
this is what I was trying to say sort of , I have other plants(not marijuana related) around my weed since its in the ground , so when I water the other ones I exclude the weed because in hopes I want the plant to stretch out n seek its water, when her stems can't hold themselves up, after a day. I will water it
