I am without question a noob so i have no real conviction in my reply but i have recently done the very same thing!
I thought i was over/under watering my plants so i spent a couple of days letting them dry out etc and this was just counterproductive and never resulted in any change.
I was running a 600w HPS lamp with a cool tube about 2ft away, this was just gettin' too hot. I switched it off and swapped it for 4 x 25w linear T5s which run considerably cooler and the difference is phenomenal, green growth all over the place!
I hope this helps.

i dont have fun for t5s, my grow space is very small, i just got my 150w hps yesterday for the size room i have.. but they yellowed even b4 that.. so i dont know what the hell the prob is..cant be nutes cuz i havent given them any yet..

Those are called cotyledon leafs, and when they turn yellow that means the plant is ready for Veg nutes at a very low dose.

ok just to make sure we are on the same page here, they are the larger round leaves , not the little baby leaves when first sprouted, that are turning yellow.. wasnt sure what they where called.. thanks...:eyesmoke:
