When is a good time to throw seeds in the window sill ? I was thinking about ordering Barneys Farm Vanilla Kush & Barneys Farm Pineapple Express Autoflowering and this order would come with a HSO OG Kush freebie. I was gonna start them in the window sill then throw them out on march 20th in 5 gallon pots

Never, get one cfl and use that instead, windows pose problems, draft, cold air at the window, the window itself stopping some light, people looking in. Get one cfl hang it right over your cups and dont worry about it.

thats how i started all the early seeds i was fucking around with but i wanna get fem seeds for my grow this year and i wanna start them perfectly lol

I like to put small plants in the sun, they love it. I've got a great bay window, secure and warm. I like to get them out from under lights and set them in there from 9 or so until 4 on bright sunny days. Then back under the lights to fill out the 18 hours of light. A minor pain but worth it to me.

Actually my very first attempt at germinating seeds a while back involved this window sill method. I had absolutely NO lights. And that was the first week of April, in central Ontario. It was chilly outside. Used the ziploc bag method to germinate. Then I properly planted the germinated seeds into Jiffy peat cups, and placed them on a window sill in one row (facing sunlight for most of the day). All of them turned out great. A bit stretchy, and they slightly tilted towards the sun throughout the day, it was actually entertaining. In the morning they would lean on one side, in the evening on the other side. Very neat. Then they got too big and I had to give them to a friend because it was too cold for transplating them outside, haha.

aint no probs with me throwin seeds in the sill. Works great for me. Start when you want. YOu got plenty of time, i start indoors and xport outdoors when the sun is out long enough so that they dont early flower. YOu CAn Do EET!

Don't do autos using the window sill method. Autos have short lifespan not dependent on photocycle, so any lack of light, stress or problems will result in considerable loss of yield. Use the proper lights, soil, nutrients and care.
