Excellent way to block windows in grow area :

Buy 8'x 4' x1" construction styrafoam, ($23.00 , appx well worth the price for long term.)

1 Large can flat black durable spray paint

Cut window pieces to size, be sure to remove protective plastic film that protects most styrafoam sheets before painting.

Spray one side, when it drys use it as a window plug. Its advisable to glue a small piece in center or corners to help you remove the plug if you wanted to get some ventilation, i.e. easy in, easy out removal system.

I use this myself, if properly cut zero light escapes at night, perfect for budding.

So say I needed to vent from my grow tent out to my window. The window closes left to right instead of up and down. How can I do this. Would I just cut a 8" wide piece of styrofoam and add a 6" hole for my duct? Thanks.

That was my brothers idea, just cut out a vent hole, something Im going to have to think about.
The construction styrafoam will handel the weight easily.

As far as security...not too concerned. Window isnt that large and is case type, would make a hell of a racket if they tried. Then I turn "Godzilla" loose.

Yeah if somebody can get in that window on the 3rd floor. I would give them a pat on the back along with a foot up their ASS! :)

That's good then, I was just trying to cover a small detail others could look right over, and I am security tight since my home was robbed a few years ago.
