Wiring Diagram for a light switch to a power outlet.

I have a 1/4 hp Submersible Pump that i have in a water storage tank i got off craigslist. I'm installing a sink in this Out/indoor Grow Trailer i'm working on (https://www.rollitup.org/t/outdoor-indoor-trailer-grow-room-setup.868513/). On the sink i need to be able to flip a light switch that controls a outdoor power outlet allowing juice to flow turning on the Submersible Pump and allowing water to flow into the sink. How can i go about this?

You sill need a power source, some descent electrical wire from menards or home depot and a switch. Or you could cut up an old extension cord. You will need 3 wires, black, white and green. I would just YouTube it. I don't really know enough info about what you're trying to do to help you any further. Where is your power source going to be from?

Is there an outlet there already and you just need to run a switch..or do you need to run an outlet and a switch? I got one of these for my RO tank

my RO tank is 10' or so from my room, but right next to an outlet. Instead of running a wire with a switch into my room i have this hooked up to the pump.. all i do is hit the button when i want water. Works really well, it says it has an 80' range..I've never tried from more than 15-20' or so..

I'm trying to keep from buying stuff to keep my cost low because my budget isn't that big for this new grow setup. But anyhow i found this video.
