My little boy (just 4yrs old)was at is Nanna's lastnight and they were all singing carols and he decided to do a solo. He was singing 'Away in a Manger' and came to this line: ''and little George Jesus lay down his sweet head'' (for those that dont know it should be Lord)! My Mum said it was worth all the money in the world as he cradled his arms to mimc the manger and proclaimed that George Jesus lay down his head!!! Thats what xmas is all about people...

when i was about 5 or 6 the family about 30 of us in all, auntie's uncle's cousin's used to have a party at my nans.
my nan had a coal fire in the front room, the bedroom above the front room also had a coal fire and used the same chimney
with out any of the kids noticing my uncle used to sneek up to the bedroom above and call down the chimney to all the kids and ask us what we wanted for christmas we all thought it was santa priceless lol

Those make great memories you can always cherish.
I was able to do something similar for my nephew a few years ago. He was about 6 years old during his Xmas visit to our home.
So, without telling anyone but my wife, I grabbed my 10 ft ladder early just before daybreak and climbed up on the roof, knowing he was awake in his bed ... waiting (oh, the waiting, remember?).
I made the clatter of footsteps (nearly fell off in fact!) over his bedroom and then raced across the roof and back down the ladder and tucked it back behind the garden sheds. I was able to sneak back to bed just before he BURST in and yelled I HEARD SANTA CLAUS!! I'll never forget that, and neither will he. By the end of the morning, he had morphed it in his head to ... I SAW Santa Claus and had a full description at the ready. But Santa that morning was buck naked and freezing except for a terry cloth green bathrobe...
And that's how memories & religions get started....

came back to my folks' house today and staying til after xmas, the snow's proper mental out here!
George Jesus is insanely sweet woomeister, and crackerjax the Santa stunt on the roof is full quality, the wee guy will definitely never forget it!

Me neither....next year will be even better as we are planning an addition to the family!!! We are planning on winding up the family and pretending it has a weird name. Thor! for a boy(good strong name..lmao!)and Grizelda for a girl! Classic.
