World Of Hempy

I have a family recipe for peach cobbler that I think would killer with some fresh canna butter. I'm gonna have to try it now that we're baking. Won't be right away as I have to find out how to make the butter but I'll be sure to post pics when its finished. I'll be cutting in a few weeks so I should be able to make it then. Looks good Moe. So my plans of a hempy sog are gonna be put on hold atm. I'm gonna redesign my area first. My grow room is also our storage room so space is kinda limited. I'm have plans of clearing it out and building a proper grow space. The tent I'm using will be for moms/cuttings. Just gonna take time and money. Both are scarce atm. It'll happen, just not as soon as I was hoping. Good day y'all.

SS - You are right on taking the time to have a clear-out to improve your grow-space. ... I had to do the same. The area I use had stored loads of my stuff, from tools/screws and a million other stuff.

All the screws came in handy when building everything but I've thrown out loads of the garbage I was never going to use. It made total sense to have a clear-out. I'm so glad I did, just my nutrient line-up alone takes quite a lot of room.

For many of us who don't have a lot of spare dough (bread theme) It can take months to get everything together. Its Soooooo worth it. For me, I kept visualizing on '420fieds' grow and that always kept me enthused enough to carry on.

... If you happen to make a 'peach cobbler' or anything else, it would be nice if you could share it on WoH, with or without the Canna Butter. :-P

So which coco would you recommend, or who's brand seems to be the best?
TX, if you can get Canna Coco in your area..jump on it. It will spoil you. It's lightly moist and fluffy and ready to pot right out of the bag....if another brand look out for mixes where part of it is soil. Bricks are cheap but need expanding rinsing and buffering. I could tell when the word got around about Canna in my area...all the hydro stores had only a couple bags left and stacks left of the others. Made me want to hoard some extra bags.

Thanks for that info Jela, I'm looking at trying it. I like to experiment with different things and growing styles. I'm hooked on hempy method for sure, though the perlite is working well I'd like to try another approach.

On a sadder note my 2 and 3l grow is a wash as I came home to a fallen light this evening. It crushed and burnt all my clones, so I'll have to make a quick fix and go with some freebie Auto flowers. Auto Critical Jack, Auto Jack and Auto Somango. I'll grow these in 2 gal buckets, looking for them to be done in 60 to 75 days from sprout.

I'll take a 5lb tub of the peach cobbler w/cannabutter!

Ok I'm sure she is a female now, she finally has small and dainty flowers, kinda like dandelions...and they look a lot like my autoflower...so I'm sure...Yay I did it right.

And I have assesed the male population, out of 24 plants I have 8 males for sure, so 1/3 is not bad for bagseed....the rest have just started maturing so I'm hoping the slowness is because they are Female...
U know the song, Waiting on a Woman.

Noticed something, my tops that I planted to root, seem to have sex signs already? Maybe because they are old enough? Or because I topped them in flower?

TX, sorry you had to come home to that scene, I would be a freakin mad-man..can't remember what lights you use but if the bulbs or tubes broke too then be careful during the cleanup. Read up on the contaminants inside. CFL's have mercury and others have this and that. You don't want to contaminate yourself or your new grow either. Just looking out for you. About your auto's....I've done a couple as side projects in a closet while the tent was busy with photo-period girls. 2G buckets of coco can make some big-ass chunky auto's in 65-70 days..even with LED's.
Here's an Easy-Ryder from the Joint Doctor I did in a 2g bucket last year....90W LED veg, 180W during flower...Canna coco coir and Lucas formula with GH FloraNova only (8ml/gal all the way through). Nice sativa edge on the buzz...

Thanks guys, luckly no broken bulbs as I did have them under CFL's. Waiting for a new fan, it should be here tomorrow, going to go under my 400 hps since I have it. My plan was to flower out the 2 and 3L's and bring in my next grow that I'l start around the 15th.

Cool, a couple hydro stores I deal with carry Canna products so I'll check them out next week when I'm in town. I'll probably stick with the GH nutes I have, and give them a go.

By the way guys I'm not a big fan of Auto's. I rather like controlling things in my garden.

Sorry this has nuttin to do with hempy but now that we're all family here maybe we can meander a bit with random bullshit here and there. I obtained this 1/2oz a couple of years ago for a mere 60$ from a friend during a slowwww soil grow. It was obviously chunks broken out of a compressed brick. The taste and the "mid" buzz is like a time machine trip back to the 70's when we used to get 1 kilo San Antonio mini-bricks in south Texas. It's definitely from south of the border. Even with today's high grade MMJ strains, I still find myself crunching some up on an occasional week night for a relaxing, tasty buzz. It's got a generous amount of seeds compressed into the buds and I'm starting to think I should salvage them for a future grow or maybe even breed males if found to keep a legacy strain in today's "modern" world. How would you separate the seeds without damaging them further from the compressed state they are in. I have several whole un-cracked seeds collected simply from swashing the stuff with fingers while rolling a jay, but got lucky....anyone know a technique to soften a compressed brick while keeping the weed smoke worthy?

Thats probably the best technique if you still want to smoke all the weed. Consider it quality control. If they survive the slight handling of breaking the buds open, its more likely they are viable. If not, they probably wouldn't have made it. ... or that's what I would tell myself.

Over the last few hours, have finished reading all 366 pages of WOH thread that caught my attention a while back. Am seriously considering this as a method - will ask questions as they come to me that haven't been covered in the previous pages. Just wanted to let you guys know so you didn't think I was just here to interject with random likes and comments with minimal to no basis behind them.

Nice one Figong. Hope you had a big joint whist going through that mass of text.

I'm sure I speak for the other WoH guys and gal when I say you're more than welcome to ask what-ever, interject or just partake in the random jibberrjabber. Its a really open community thread and whether you go Hempy or not please consider it YOUR thread as much as ours. :peace:

edit:
You really should try a Hempy though :-P

hahaha, I definitely did not read it all at once.. been working on it on and off while looking at layout/design of rooms and how I wish to approach all of it, and decide how much space to leave for quarantine, genetics, and 'stress test' rooms/divisions of a specific area. Will definitely ask questions as I have them, and look forward to being a solid contributor with anything I run across that's useful/helpful, or experimental and potentially dangerous, but works with a set of skilled hands. :D

I just built a new zone for vegging trial strains. That way I can keep my current runs going whilst taking a few cuttings from the new strains to see if they fit in. ... So , I'll continue running the GDP whilst looking for something even better. ... Its a really useful addition to my grow-op but took a bit of figuring out with my limited space.

Sounds like a plan bro, well thought out too! Now I'm going to have to make room in my space allotment for a trial strain veg room too.. hahaha
