World Of Hempy

I'm walking through a Walmart one day and my "hempy fever" was exhausted for some reason....no new/different buckets to try. But I spied these clear plastic totes with clear lids and thought "wow, those would make a great "clone domes". You know me, I grow from seeds and only do clones when need arises or when I want to share a strain. So the thought stuck and I grew a Skywalker OG (Reserva Prevada Seeds) mother plant for 28 days and took 6 cuttings last night with another 6 left for this weekend coming..some here will laugh since you do hundreds of clones at a time for your SOG grows....but for me it a fun little project with my busy lifestyle. The cups are typical hempy solo's with perlite low and coco up high....with a good success rate for me thusfar (never had one die, just a mutant "3-leafer" every now and then when taken late in flower). So here's a look at mini-clone #1 bin so far. The lid is fairly snug so it keeps the humidity up with lots of condensation. When I open it I smell a sweet minty/broccoli/sex smell. (LOL)

So this is the irregular Afghan blueberry...it decided that one branch was its apical meristem...no matter how much i coaxed it...i wish i had been able to train 4 branches like it symetrically!


My bluedream momma that im flowering is probably as big but much more symetrical.

Hey fellas. Just gotta share this. Im at drying right now and just took down some of my Lemon Skunk popcorn nugs. Wow Shit is potent! And tasty. This is now my new favorite. Lemons dont even smell this much of lemons. Smooth smoke. Hit it on the bong and im so amazed! Frosted out nugs of Lemon hell yeah.
These are just the finger tip popcorn.

That lemon stuff is almost too strong for me. That stuff is tastey though and yours looks gorgeous!

So I had to pull a male today, and can't believe to roots! It's one of the plants I pt in the aquarium gravel/ insulation mix and it was doing great, to bad it was a male. Roots over doubled in size since it was transplanted from the soil and never seen roots so white. Took a few cuttings in some water so I can pollinate my sour deisel cross and try to get a bushier/ faster flowering seed. Hopefully after some selective breeding the next few grows I will be able to get my own stabilized strain. Big budda/?x local sour deisel cross.. The sour is a local strain sativa Dom, mostly sour crossed with other local dank the past 10 years. Thought the budda seeds came from a hermie in a buddies room but got 2 males so that's not the case. Last pic is the female in the gravel hempy and she looks great..

It's here....hmmmm haven't opened the box yet....

The box contains, coco, jiffy coco pellets, and the light...the perlite came yesterday

Whokie, it's nice how you celebrate Christmas in the middle of summer too...sounds like that present that needs opening....

HydroGp, there's no excuse for your excitement, lets try ecstatic! Your bud pRon is awesome and I'm almost tasting that lemony goodness.....with the name "skunk" in there I would normally steer clear of that variety for stealth reasons. Can you tell us how the smell factored in with your grow? Would it be a concern at the exhaust end of things? (don't care much about the ambient odor)

Jela I finally did put the umbrella part of the light together...but this thing is huge...it scares me the size of the bulb alone, I'm afraid it will blow a fuse when I plug it in...I still have a few screws to install, and I have it hanging now...

It came with 2 huge bulbs, I'm wondering if I can use my 100 watt with it...and maybe start them out with that...

That was my birthday present he would have bought me, if he was here...

Whats the wattage on it Whocares? Even a 1000 watt is fine on a 15 amp circuit if its not running much else. The size of the bulb (especially the MH ones) is definitely intimidating but dont worry much. Just keep smart with your amperage draw and youre good....heat on the other hand will increase. They put off a lot. Did you get a parabolic hood? Id really suggest a vented hood if youre growing in an attic or somewhere already warm. Especially if its a small enclosed area. If youre scared to run the big bulbs you can use the same socket for a smaller hps or mh but not the same ballast.



I got a branch off one of my crosses that i really liked back...but its like 5 weeks into bud...ive never cloned plants so far into bud. It is worth it to me no matter how long it takes as this purple pheno Elephant x maui wowie has a very unique and delicious taste and it crops very nicely........


...Any tips or hints on cloning at such an advanced stage? I figure itll take weeks to root....its a big branch with about 5 smaller branches that arent barky but its literally covered in bud (prob 4 or 5 grams dried)...would it be better for them as clnes to leave all the bud on them or better to leave the leaf but clip the bud? I dont need it to smoke as i still have about 6 ounces from last crop and am 4 weeks into this crop so at an ounce a week im good.

He is so proud lol buddy first time ...

Lemon skunk fucking REEKS Jela. But doesnt smell like stereotypical ganja smell. In my experience.

Shiva it's a 400 watt and came with a dimmable ballast, and both bulbs...

I got this one as I liked the bare bulb and umbrella...I think it's a good starter

Hey WOH its been quite a while since I posted... Just pulled down my first crop of c99, 8.6oz off of 15 2l hempy SOG plants (16g/plant), veg'd for one week, very happy with the quality of the c99.. cheers!

Thx for the kind words m8 Well the smell was very strong. I could not control it. I should change my filter, but still i dont believe it could have stopped it. I could smell it from the other end of the house when i came home from work. No doubt about it. Skunk and Lemons.
So it is very much a security concern growing. Cant even smoke it at work cause of the smell.
But it is fantastic!

Hey all, it's put together now and I took out an extension cord for try out, can I use the 100 watt bulb for test and set up? or is this thing too powerful?

Do I have to turn it down?

No you can't run a standard bulb, the sockets you have is a mogul socket and is larger than standard, and with a 400w ballast you need to run 400w bulbs, if you wanted to run a 600w bulb you'll have to get another ballast.
