Damnit i look at my girls several times a day how the .. could this slip through me? What would you do? Should i harvest now? Or how long would it take for the seed to be mature enough to have a little seed harvest to?

I would say harvest now I know you will lose something from going early but it beats having any pollen spread around. Time for seed maturity can take 4 to 6 weeks and your plant won't be worth smoking. Generally when breeding for seed it is pollenated around 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 weeks into flower to give the plant time to finish and allow the seed to mature.

Electrical problems guys.

Over the past few months some of my domestic sockets have been burning-out. The plug on various devices has literally been fused to the socket. It just happened now on the main plug for the grow-room. I'm worried Im over-loading and a little unsure what to do next.

I've replaced the plug fuse (which blew) and turned off the large T5 and other domestic devices to reduce power. hmmm. any advice on what I should be doing?

edit;

Although I replaced the fuse in the plug, its over-heating and I noticed some smells. Ive turned it all off. ARGGGGHHH. LOL Should I be buying a 'contactor'?

Also, will it help to remove some of the numerous spot lights I have in my home?
Moe, heat at at the socket can be arc'ing....due to poor contact. If the wires are not hot and it's just the sockets getting hot...it may be time to simply replace a few sockets. The metal to metal contact is important and if the grip is lost on the male prongs or if the metal has tarnished/oxidized with age, you will get arc'ing. The arc'ing and sudden surges in load can blow your fuse/breaker too. Your new additions may be well within your circuit's capability but you have pushed it to the point where flaws in connection show up. If you have one of those temperature guns (IR guns) to check leaf temps near your light...go shoot it around some of your sockets. If you are a poor cook (which is hard to believe), the gun comes in handy in the kitchen as well.

Just checked the trich's on this GDP for ripeness. Its mainly cloudy with some clear. I would say 3-4 days max before the chop. I gave the last feed a seaweed extract and water. I'll flush with that one more time then chop.

I been battling the same problem. first it started on one plant, and now Ive seen a couple of the nanners sticking out on two other girls. I just pluck them off as I see them and keep it moving. Im at 8 weeks so Im chopping soon anyway. How many more weeks were you planning on flowering for?

in a nut shell....run a 3-conductor #6 AWG from the old panel to the new panel.....use a 60 AMP breaker on the old panel, so you sub-panel now has up to 60 AMPS available....use 15 AMP breakers on the sub-panel to feed each plug-in.

Do consult with a local electrician who understands the electrical code of your region, as the standards I'm quoting are North American

I think Moe if you find out what color's are what in EU and you just look inside the breaker panel you will see it's a easy job. It's more like permanently connecting a extension cord to the breaker box really.

You don't need to worry about getting fried because you just flip you main switch when your ready for a minute or two to shut down all power and you just snap the new breaker in and connect the three power, ground, and nuetral to the breaker.

Just make sure you run the main power to your sub panel first and have it connected to that new 60amp sub panel breaker also in the off position. So once you flip the power back on its all connected and ready to be flipped. Just run your new outlets and wires, snap in the 20amp breaker's and flip the sub panel breaker.

Cheers brother. You've literally painted the picture in my mind and now I feel like an expert. I'll get mine done then put an ad in the paper 'Handy-man with electrical experience'.

seriously though .. I love this community for the knowledge base. ... some of this info is literally life and death.

I read somewhere that pollen can be dealt with by spraying lots of water over your girls and grow room. Think that could work?

shaggn, thanx for advise.I get excited and throw myself at things with reckless abandon, so I most certainly would have made that mistake.I couldn't get water in 2ltr bottles.I bought 2 cases of club soda.I figure I'll need 1/2 gal. of gin and a dozen limes per 2ltr., so I'll be pretty hammered by the time I start building hempy buckets.

Thanks Jela.

I'll change the sockets, although I did have a complete rewiring of the whole system including new sockets a little over a year ago. It certainly needs replacing now anyhow as the sockets are slightly melted and the plastic casing has cracked through the heat. The plug itself was heating up like a mutha.

I have now switched half the load to another lead with fitted RCD and everything is cool again to touch.

Hey moe what's the flower time on your GDP? I'm about to sex my 5 GDP plants now to determine who's a boy or who's a girl. Dam looking at your purple Yum yums I can't wait to fire up 120 of them under 1200 watts. Any suggestions with the GDP based on your experience? Of course I will be growing them in 2l's verm/per combo. Thanks

Heating plug is dangerous, But changing the outlets will not fix that issue, fixing the power problem is where I would begin. I would change the outlets to GFI as well especially if it shows signs of melting...You may have to eliminate items until thinks get better, a hot plug means a bad feed somewhere and I'd be checking the circuit box too...Hope it does not have fuses...

I can't even remember when I put them in. When it come to taking notes; I'm not good. Ive just never done it, its like I have a mental block :wall: I'll look back at WOH and figure it out but Ive always said 8 weeks although I don't know.

Good luck with finding the nice fems. TBH I think the seeds have good genes so it won't be hard like some other strains. I'm really pleased you chose them though, Ive been around a lot of weed and this is the very top shelf of genetics of ALL time. .... I'll add lot more good pics of ALL the plants at chop in a few days, I think everyone will be impressed but tbh its such an easy strain I think anyone can do well with it.

Yes, water would work to wash it off, wouldn't prevent any other nanners popping out and spreading more around or pollenating the plant more. You would need something like an auto mister to prevent something, think it would be to costly and damage the buds further.
