Worms in your potting soil?!

anyone ever experimented with putting a/few worm(s) in your potting soil?

From what I've read from other threads, some worms are quite useful, since they break down the soils complex nutrients producing nutes that are easy to absorb for the plant. I'm not sure that any type of worm can be used in this manner. I suggest a google search on this subject.

just regular night crawlers or earth worms. i did do some searching on the forum but couldn't really find what i was looking for. so i tryed a few other forums and found this.

"The worms will help balance the nutrients in case of over fertilzation which regularly happens and is a human mistake. Kind of like a fail safe"

Along with i read that it helps out with drainage quite a bit.

I think the best way to settle this is to grow a test plant. Get a clone and grow it in a small pot with some worms. If the plant doesn't show any signs of deterioration, means it's a thumbs up.

worms don't eat plant roots

worm irrigate the soil, provide better drainage, better air circulation

the outside world is full of worms, and plants don't seem to mind

also worms poo is good for the plants
