I will be using 34% H2O2 and pH down acids and GH nutes in the res. Will there be any negative effect on the coil of copper/steel. I would like to know which metal would be best to make a wort chiller(well its a reservoir chiller now). copper or stainless steel. Any information will be greatly appreciated. I have researched it for hours and all I can do is repeat chemical stuff I know nothing about. Thanks in advance.

you will want the stainless one as the other guy stated copper will react with the nutrients and will over time bleed off it's own chemicals ,so stainless is made for these types of use. most builder are using a pex type water line instead of copper because of the chemicals..

Thank you bass.Im gonna DIY the chiller .I already bought a dehumidifier for 30 bucks U$A.. The thing gets soooo frosty in just 20 mins. And the best part is looks like the heater part does not work(no excess heat, lucky). NEway just wondering if the stainless from the home improvement store was cool or should I get food grade commercial wort chiller.?Thanx again everyone. The community will get better on rollitup with more communication. Wish theyd improve the search.

Stainless steel wherever corrosion is concerned IMO. 18-8 is a basic stainless similar to household silverware. 300-series (303, 304, 316, etc) is a higher grade.

Wort chiller? You makin' beer too? :-P
