Worth PHing Water and Not Soil?

The ph of my water is 7.5. Is it really worth my time and money to attempt to lower it just that much when I can ph my water only? I have no means of checking the soil ph...

Ph your water and then check the water ph run off.7.5 is high for water and soil and if your soil is even higher your gonna have issues.Go to local nursey or online and get a $20 soil ph kits or at loews for $9 a soil ph meter you just stick in the soil
