Would copper in the bubble-water do any damage to plants/cuttings?

I would imagine that the copper tubing isn't in direct contact with the roots? Then what difference would it make, since all the water we get come through copper pipe.

Indeed :)

The copper's at the base of the water-tank/res, but I've since been to the hydro shop, and - since they didn't have anything to clamp-down the air-lines OR stones, I got 4 slightly smaller stones, and used elbows and 'T' connectors to make a kinda grid that sits on the bottom .. maybe I'll draw it later.

Anyway, there's no copper in the tank now, and since I kept playing with the stones without washing my hands first, the water was getting cloudy (potato chips and ice-cream, no doubt :) ), so, I changed the water as well, for clear, fresh filtered drinking water :)

I'm so tired.. Reakon it's this heat draining me. ..mm..

I always just kinda threw my airstones in, or tried to wedge them in a way that they couldn't float away...the plants don't have to be in the bubbles...Hell my cloner is an empty swifferbox with a piece of mylar folded into a lid that I poked a few holes in...with an air pump running to one long airstone wedged sideways in the bottom of the swiffer box...I put in a little water and some root nutes and there ya go...have never lost a clone that made it into my recycled box, although I have lost them prior to box...Anyway you can clip fishing sinkers all along the sides and that will hold them down usually...I have used coathangers with great success...but then I realized it didn't matter where it was as long as it was in there...

SI youre clones/stems sit in th water though? If they do, then it wouldn't matter where the air-stone is. If you've gone with the even more aerated 'above-water' method though, having air-stones evenly spaced is crucial - I think: Of one part of the lid doesn't get any spatter form bubbles, then that's a wasted area within the cloner.

I personally don't see why you shouldn't just let the stems sit in the water, or at least, not be anal about it. I've got mine 1/4" in water at the moment.

They've shown actual improvement since yesterday: Leaves are phototropic er ing, :) Towards the light, and they have this nicer V shape at the growing tips that they didn't yesterday. :)

FUck me it's hot today though. I dunno how long I can handle being here before running off for a shower.
