Would these strains be considered "true breeding" strains?

I bought some flying dutchman beans about 6 years ago when I was Amsterdam. One strain may not be indicative of their entire line of genetics, but I'd never buy from them again. Plus, F1 beans for $50??? Fudge that.

I take it you weren't impressed? Were the genetics poor, or just not worth the cost? ie, would you have gotten them again if they were $20?

Why not? One persons idea of ideal pheno, and mine may be 2 different things...I like having the option. Granted there is a virtue to consistency, but they're is also a joy in knowing that you've stabilized a pheno thats customized just for your wants and needs...kinda gives me the warm fuzzies...

The genetics of 'Haley's comet' were poor. I, personally, am not that price-sensitive when it comes to seeds as I clone so one pack of seeds could literally last me a lifetime. So no, even at $20, I wouldn't buy from them again. I did, however, pick up some AK47 from serious seeds about 9 months ago and finally have isolated a mom. I'll tell you what, serious seeds is no joke, those beans were extremely stable and the product is awesome. Here is a plant almost ripe from the mom I isolated:
