Would these work?

These. For vegging. I'm 100% new to LED's & plan to "experiment" for the first time. I'm looking for a vegging panel, rather then a hybrid or flowering panel. It's been difficult finding blue panels at high-wattage levels. Also looking for the 3w/5w LED's for better penetration (rumor has it).

What size area do you have to cover?

5x5x5. If I use this system would it work? I only need it for vegging. However, being that it's an aquarium LED & with "whites" idk if that's a waste of LED power or not? More-so, idk if those "blue's" are the correct blue. I'm having a difficult time finding an all-blue or blue-dominate LED panel. They seem to be catered towards vegging & flowering rather then just vegging or flowering independantly. I know what they're attempting, is making them hybrids, so they reward you throughout the entire grow & save you money. However, some people just need them for vegging or just flowering, not both, therefore the extra reds or blues can be a waste if you're planning to throw them under 1000w HPS's like I am anyways.

A quality white will do the job but there's more to it than that. How tall do you veg your plants and how close do you like your node spacing on the plants?

Tight nodes, no taller then 4.5 ft" - prefer to keep em under/at 4. I like my girls bushy, whenever we're talking plants of course haha.

Cool white 6500k will keep the spacing close but you don't have much headroom so you can't run anything with lenses that close. A powerfull quality LED panel with lenses would need about 3' above the plants. Are you interested in DIY?
