ahhh right, anyone think i could get any use out of the transformer for another sort of light, say that was also 300 watts?

Probably not, especially if it's specifically for halogen lights, which it probably is. HPS and Metal Halide use specialized ballasts. Maybe just hold on to it.

sweet thanks ethno, i will hold onto it, but i just found a 600w HPS with reflector and ballast on ebay for only £72 inc P&P :D

its from a place called basement hydroponics, which as daft as it sounds is in the city i live, so thanks for crazy mental for that! haha
yeahh check the link to it if u wnt it in the genral marijuana growing under "good deal?"

I'm thinking about it. That's an excellent price, regardless. But I live in the States, so post would be a bit more, methinks.
